Brown-Forman Accounting Analyst/Accounts Receivable and Credit Specialist Spain in Barcelona, Spain

Job Description:

Scope:

Serving as a business partner with the corporation and the Spanish business unit, the owner of the position is responsible for facilitating and coordinating financial accounting, reporting, and analytical activities with a focus on communicating quantitative and qualitative information in a clear, accurate, and timely manner with a focus on accounts payable issues.

Basic Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Account Receivables in cooperation with Customer Service and the Sales Force

  • Assist in preparing of VAT returns and other tax functions

  • General Accruals – basic accounting

  • Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures

  • Set up and maintain accounts receivable files and other financial records

  • Operational execution of billing and invoicing

  • Reconcile the customer balance and the credit situation with the collaboration of Finance and Sales Force

  • Maintain updated customer files (customer master data) with the collaboration of the sales controller

  • Perform other receivables (not from customers) if required

  • Prepares regular periodic and special accounting reports

  • Other accounting functions

Must Experience:

  • Experience in accounting and credit control.

  • 5 years post qualified experience in accounting and credit department

  • Knowledge of accounts payable,accounts receivable and credit management

  • Maintaining general ledgers

Skills:

  • Good English speaking and writing

  • Financial / ERP System – SAP (FI/CO/BW)

  • Time management

  • Strong Analytical skills

  • FMCG experience is an advantage
