Brown-Forman Trade Marketing Specialist On-Trade in Barcelona, Spain

Job Description:


Aligned with Brown-Forman long-term brand building and profit growth strategies, this position seeks to optimize the route to new and existing shoppers/ consumers in the On-Trade holistically. It will indirectly connect with shoppers/ consumers by optimizing the customer, channel and POS approach in the On-Trade business.

Basic Function & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the annual set up of the On-Trade strategy, in collaboration with Marketing Brand team and Sales.

  • Coordinates with On-Trade Salesforce Managers & Brand Marketing

  • Responsible for the annual set up of the On-Trade plan (Developing, execution, evaluation and Reporting), according to the strategy, and deployment of all activities :

  • Designing activation plan

  • Quota allocation among regions and customers

  • Implementation control

  • Tracking (Regularly provides reports on promotion efficiency and progress to plan status)

  • Leads external agencies on projects

  • Collaborates with Purchasing Department on POSM development & optimal warehousing

  • Responsible for annual set up and tracking of A&P budget of the On Trade annual plan

  • Aligns with Finance on correct accounting A&P budget management

  • Collaborates with Marketing, BBI & Sales On-Trade (Head of Sales & Saleforce Managers) to gain more On-Trade facts and consequently insights.

  • Independently capitalizes information resources such as Nielsen, GfK or SAP BW

  • Participates in regional Salesforce & selected brand meetings

Must Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or trained On-Trade category, store manager

  • At least 3/4 year work experience with On-Trade channel, Trade Marketing or Marketing

  • FMCG experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Major in Marketing or Sales

  • Sales or Marketing Experience

  • Knowledge of On -Trade and wholesale channel & customers

  • Conceptual skills


  • Fluent Spanish speaking and writing is mandatory

  • Good English speaking and writing
