Brown-Forman Product Engineer - BenRiach in Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Scope of Position:
Manage the process of product additions and revisions to maintain the information integrity required to support efficient and reliable manufacturing BenRiach manufacturing sites. Leverage the functionality of the SAP system by integrating manufacturing procedures and processes to optimize current and future production capabilities. Protect data integrity, which is absolutely critical to SAP functionality, through system and procedural controls. Act as liaison between various functional groups to assure SAP integrity is maintained and to assure accurate standard costs are easily accessible.
Manage all SAP activities associated with product additions and changes at BenRiach manufacturing locations.
Protect data integrity, which is absolutely critical to SAP functionality, through system and procedural controls. Ensure master data supports compliance with HMRC regulations.
Create and maintain material masters, bills of materials, and product master recipes for semi-finished and finished goods, where applicable. Ensure data is set up based on requirements of each production location including units of measure and conversion of units to alternate measures for purchasing and consumption in BOMs.
Maintain components and ingredients in SAP for BenRiach sites.
Act as coordinator between BenRiach sites and all the internal departments (Packaging, Finance, Supply Chain) to insure data integrity.
Work as extension of the SAP support group to assist in system changes and documentation and communication of new procedures and processes to the appropriate functional areas.
Create process documentation for training and ongoing SAP support. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in quality and continuous improvement.
Participate in a collaborative manner on project teams to conduct research and implement process improvements and system automation.
Respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers, both internal and external, and be open and responsive to change.
BS in Business or related field plus 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing.
Materials Management experience in an ERP system.
Demonstrated ability to complete project work within budget and time and constraints.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel and on teams.
Strong knowledge of personal computer and software programs, including the ability to understand the process flow and implications of system changes.
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn complex business processes.
