Brown-Forman Account Manager- Travel Retail / France, Belgium in International, France
The development of B-F’s core spirits business through effective key account management of Lagardére, one of travel retail’s fastest growing global key accounts, with key European airport locations such as Paris, Warsaw and Rome. In addition to Lagardére, the role also includes the management of multiple other customers across France and Belgium travel retail, giving a broad spectrum of exposure to all channels of GTR, including airports, border stores, in flight and ferries.
The key tasks will include managing customer negotiations and securing profitable listings, merchandising and coordinating promotional activities. In addition to this, the role will assume full P&L responsibility, which will include the management of brand expense, annual and quarterly planning and regular customer visits.
Create, execute and deliver agreed P&L objectives
Identify profitable growth opportunities for the Brown-Forman spirit portfolio in the region
Work with travel retail and brand teams to execute agreed brand plans and budgets to achieve regional goals in the assigned territory
Manage annual pricing and listing negotiations with all customers
Together with the regional trade marketing manager, develop appropriate brand building activities and negotiate subsequent programs with key accounts
Identify and exploit brand building opportunities through merchandising and promotional activities, additional store activities, training, incentivizing, rewarding and influencing
Supervise execution of these programs, evaluate and modify as appropriate
Actively take the lead in annual and long term planning, working with European Director to align with more regional strategies and objectives
Set up brand and portfolio strategies as well as customer and distribution channel strategies
Work towards increasingly global approach to key account management with Lagardére, through close collaboration with B-F colleagues in other regions, particularly APAC
Collaborate and align with domestic B-F personnel to maximize cooperation between TR and LE
University degree and a minimum of 5-6 years sales & or marketing experience preferably in spirits, but related sectors such as tobacco or confectionery can be considered
Fluent spoken and written English & French
Strong oral and written communications skills
Strength in people management and relationship building
Good negotiation skills
Must possess passion for our portfolio of brands and have a brand building mentality
A team player supportive to all functions
Must be willing to travel extensively (approximately 40% of the time)
