Job Description:

Position Summary:

The HR Specialist works closely with the Senior HR Manager and supports him/her to identify the current and future needs of the business within the Area.

The position plays a vital role in delivery and execution of HR strategies and acts as a single point of contact for all employees and line managers in the business unit. The incumbent is responsible for guiding, driving and delivering HR projects to ensure effective HR operational support for line managers and employees.

The position is primarily focused on the UK as part of the Northern and Southern Europe region.

Responsibility: (Job Detail)

  • Responsible for managing recruitment processes together with the Talent Acquisition team.

  • Organize and deliver HR related elements of the on-boarding process for new employees.

  • Lead the Graduate and Internship program

  • In conjunction with Senior HR Manager, colleagues in Finance and Compensation and Benefits, manage remuneration and promotion

  • Manage Employee Benefits in conjunction with International Benefits team.

  • Manage and maintain employee data both in systems (eg Workday) and personnel files in accordance with BF and legal requirements.

  • Complete all business processes in Workday system; creating positions, hire process, promotion process, organisation changes, terminations etc.

  • Manage and maintain HR Policies and Procedures, liaising with Senior HR Manager as needed.

  • Assist in formulation and execution of the people development strategy for the business

  • Coach, mentor and provide feedback to employees to improve individual and organizational performance, including assisting Senior HR Manager in disciplinary or grievance cases.

  • Support organizational change ensuring the appropriate systems of performance and development, communications, equality impact assessment, monitoring and review are in place.

  • Assist in preparation and delivery of People Development tools, workshops, training, etc.

  • Work closely with line managers and employees to embed the Performance and Growth Planning process, ensuring that all employees receive quality annual and mid-year reviews and that all deadlines are met.

  • Lead and contribute to Global and European HR projects

Requirements:

University degree in business administration or comparable education with focus on Human Resources or related field

Experience in functional areas such as recruiting, compensation and benefits, HR systems, policies and procedures administration.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Experience HR systems ( Workday)

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to build strong relationships

Strong organizational skills with ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

Strong Team player

Strong understanding of UK Employment Law

Ability to travel as and when required to other Brown Forman offices in Europe and the US
