Brown-Forman Global Benefits Analyst in Louisville, Kentucky
Interpret, implement and administer plan provisions of two 401(k) savings plans covering in excess of 2,700 participants with approximately $300 million in assets and one non-qualified savings plan (NQDC). Manage 401(k) project work including coordinating vendor activity, internal tasks, and other ERISA reviews. Interpret, implement and administer plan provisions for four U.S. and one non-qualified supplemental excess retirement plans in compliance with plan provisions. Responsible for weekly reconciliation and transmission of 401k data to and from 401k Plan vendor. Manage all retirement information utilized in actuarial valuations, total rewards statements, and Pension calculation system. Coordinate the analytical data extraction process with Pension Vendor to ensure that the data provided from Workday is accurate and utilized appropriately in the Pension Vendor software calculation/modeling system.
401k and NQDC Tasks:
Vendor management responsibilities including working with Wells Fargo personnel for project implementation, process coordination, and bringing resolution to initiatives.
Reconciles and transmits NQDC information for all NQDC contributions for Mullin TBG transmission payment process.
NQDC distribution set up with payroll.
Reconciles and transmits information for all 401k employer/employee contributions and loans for front-end Wells Fargo transmission process and coordinates payment processing with Accounts Payable.
Prepares process for Wells Fargo Black-Out listing and works with HRIT and Wells Fargo to ensure listing is updated appropriately.
Customer service responsibilities including counseling employees on questions and issues which develop regarding 401(k) and NQDC issues.
Monitor loan delinquency report monthly and advise Wells Fargo which loans are actually in default and request Wells Fargo to default loans.
Coordinate 401k Education sessions and interim webinars to employees and ERGs (where appropriate).
Coordinate with Wells Fargo on Employee and Retiree deaths.
Process rehires and transfers weekly ensuring 401k benefits are reinstated or transferred as needed.
Maintain integrity of participant data on Wells Fargo website, which includes researching and updating records in Workday and fixing errors as needed.
Manually provide JDPI 401k information to Wells Fargo with each payroll and to Mullin/Prudential for NQDC.
Manage retiree death process.
Manage process and vendor coordination for missing participants/unclaimed checks.
Determine eligibility, enter pension plan information for new pension participants including pension plan, participation date, credited service date and pension vesting date in Workday monthly as needed. Annually, track eligibility for those who did not meet criteria on first anniversary.
Reconcile monthly SERP payments between AonHewitt and WD to ensure SERP payments are set up and being paid correctly. Coordinate with payroll (or Aon) on any discrepancies.
Notify AonHewitt weekly of terminations to process term calculations, which includes providing final pension wages and hours. Reconcile AonHewitt quarterly termination report to ensure terminations reported have been processed. Update retiree status in Workday for those meeting “retiree perk” criteria.
YPR calculations for Hourly employees as requested.
Process rehires and transfers weekly ensuring pension benefits are reinstated or transferred as needed.
Update Retiree address changes in Workday.
Counsel retirees and assist, as needed, with retirement forms, and any required legal documents to process retirement benefits.
Create annual SERP and Mandatory Retirement notices to be distributed by Benefits/TR Specialist
Project or Ad hoc work:
Work with Total Rewards Statements project team on Total Rewards Statements implementation, managing benefits data. Review accrued and projected pension calculations for auditing of Total Rewards Statements and posting to Wells Fargo website.
Manage and coordinate various year-end processes.
Provide assistance and information to internal and external auditors for SOX/DOL compliance as required during audit on all retirement plans.
Manage employee and document filing or retrieval as needed/directed by Compliance Manager, Operations Manager or Compliance Analyst.
- Associate Degree with seven to nine years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and two to four years’ experience in the area of health, savings and welfare plans or equivalent education and experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Technical expertise in Workday, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to establish rapport with all levels of employees, HR representative and external vendors.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and execute responsibilities with planning and organization in a high volume, deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and extended hours to meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Knowledge of ERISA and other laws pertaining to implementing benefit programs
