Brown-Forman Lead Financial Systems Analyst in Louisville, Kentucky
As a member of the corporate FP&A team, this position will play a key part in the end-to-end design and operations of management reporting and planning systems. This includes understanding all aspects of the company’s financial planning software and developing and maintaining applications to support a variety of business purposes.
Develop, maintain, monitor, and support B-F’s financial planning models across numerous applications (Jedox, Excel, Powerpivot, etc.)
Serve as the business planning liaison for the management reporting processes and planning system tool with both the IT organization and the users/potential users of the system
Participate in the corporation’s investment base planning process from conception to completion, including communicating with participants, developing, maintaining and distributing the systems and processes, validating the reasonableness of data received, and analyzing results of the process
Ensure robust data integration processes and procedures are developed, relevant, repeatable, and effective
Assist with investigating and implementing new tools and/or processes as business conditions change and technology evolves
Assist in the development and delivery of timely reports as required, including those for the Board, senior management, operating units and corporate clients
Utilize technology and exceptional tools to retrieve, display, input, gather, produce, and analyze financial information
Act as the subject matter expert for the company’s financial planning system and coach and develop members of the organization in the use of the tool
Assist in the development of materials for the training of finance professionals on applicable concepts and/or applications; lead or participate in actual training sessions as a subject matter expert
Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the corporation’s foreign exchange variance database
Provide ad hoc financial support to FP&A director and senior finance leadership and/or participate in special projects as required, such as long term planning, resource allocation, strategic development projects, corporate requests, presentations to management, etc.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related area with six to eight years of finance experience
In depth working knowledge of client server technology, financial reporting and planning technology
In depth working knowledge of PC software (Microsoft Excel, Access and Powerpoint)
The ability to work independently and execute responsibilities in a high volume, deadline oriented environment; the willingness and ability to organize, implement, and complete multiple tasks with limited direction
The ability to develop and maintain accurate documentation and perform quality work with accuracy and attention to detail
Financial and analytical abilities with the ability to collect and manipulate data, analyze, and present results in a concise format
Strong system capabilities including the ability to develop, learn, and validate systems along with experience in developing appropriate controls and processes.
Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with a broad range of business associates.
Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
Ability to perform and adapt in a rapidly changing environment as necessary.
Ability to work flexible schedule to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of B-F’s financial planning, accounting, sales and marketing systems including SAP and BW.
An advanced business degree such as an MBA.
