Brown-Forman Jack Daniel’s Trademark Junior POSM Manager Europe/IMEA in Prague, Czech Republic

Job Description:


Use management, influencing & planning skills to effectively support the development of Point of Sale Material (POSM) across all Europe/IMEA markets for the Jack Daniel’s Trademark. Primary responsibility is to meet or exceed the expectations of the Europe/IMEA stakeholders community with regards to their BTL promotional needs of POSM and Value Add/Gift packs. Connects and Collaborates with multiple internal constituencies/stakeholders, including Marketing, Trade Marketing & Sales across Europe/IMEA, becoming an extended member of those stakeholder groups. Also with multiple external business partners and contacts including Suppliers, Agencies & atDistributors.

Basic Function:

  • Put the consumer in the middle of everything we do, gaining insights from all available internal & external sources. Ensuring all touch points are relevant, premium & enhancing the consumer's experience

  • Support Best Practice Sharing with meaningful insights & analysis

  • Demonstrate financial acumen. Understand B-F systems and information resources to ensure timely and accurate reporting and explanation of:

  • Inventory management

  • Purchasing evaluation – scale vs. cost of capital & storage

  • Responsible for working within financial empowerment guidelines

  • Operates as an extension to the stakeholder groups & thereby regularly & consistently interacts with local marketing & trade marketing teams.

  • Attend & participate in as many relevant Europe/IMEA marketing team meetings and calls, as possible

  • Support development of POSM activity designed to grow Visibility and Rate-of- Sale.

  • Support the development of a centralized, extensive, relevant, premium & affordable range of POSM, for all channels, that will provide a BTL platform for all Europe/IMEA markets to Win at the Point of Purchase.

  • Lead regional Gifting & Value Add initiatives from sourcing to logistics.

  • Lead global ‘direct to market’ gifting sourcing & logistics

  • Meet or exceed BFC guidelines on Responsibility Messaging on all POSM & secondary packaging initiatives .

  • Ensure all medium-high risk items have established AQL’s & are being quality tested, by LVL QA where appropriate (glassware, flasks etc,)

  • Ensure Legal sign off prior to production on all POSM & secondary packaging

  • Ensure BF owns design rights on all proprietary items that are either developed in Europe/IMEA or are being replicated in Europe/IMEA from another source

  • Recommend actions to adapt to changes on a pro-active basis.

  • Ensures POSM budget and allocated timelines are met

Must Experience:

  • 3 or more years of trade or marketing service experience

  • Must possess a passion for our brands and have the ability to inspire and motivate others.

  • Fluent in English

  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs (at least Intermediate level) – Excel, Word, & Powerpoint

  • Experience in working with SAP, Business Warehouse or similar software

  • Basic orientation in US GAAP, IAS/IFRS

  • Experience in wine and spirits or luxury FMCG industries

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing

  • Individual must be a visionary to bring long-term, strategic insight; be innovative (think out of the box) to Good interpersonal skills. Persuasive, able to put across a point of view convincingly

  • Proficiency in SAP & Advanced level in Microsoft programs​

  • Fluent in Czech ​

  • Experience in international marketing services of FMCG, or luxury products, particularly in Europe/IMEA, will be highly regarded

  • DTP skills & expertise in graphical programs – Photoshop etc


  • Intelligent, self-motivated, high-energy, and capable of handling multiple tasks and getting things done on time and within budget.

  • Displays adaptability and cultural sensitivity​

  • Ability to build strong, long-term relationships within Brown-Forman, as well as with distributors, promotional agencies, suppliers and other key third-party constituencies

  • Must be a high calibre individual with a proven track record of success

  • Ability & willingness to work beyond normal business hours when required

  • Ready to part of a small team, must be hands on & flexible
