Brown-Forman Retail Sales Manager, Slane in Slane, Ireland
The Manager is responsible for management and oversight of the Slane Distellery Retail operations (sales, staffing, scheduling, shipping, customer relations) and any off-site locations and/or (Slane Concert Series, Dublin-based tourism activities, etc). Responsible for ensuring retail operations meets with Slane brand goals and is aligned in all branding of Slane merchandise and bottle/product sales. Provides direction, leadership, and support as necessary to achieve a premium shopping experience to all visitors and guests. Gift Shop Manager carries out supervisory responsibilities involved with direct personnel management, loss prevention, physical inventory, proper cash/PCI compliance/management, merchandising, customer service, and any other duties as may be assigned.
Responsible for management of inventory and supportive reporting (monthly reports, sales, inventory, trend analysis, comparison). Prepares, analyzes and shares monthly sales report (Interpret and assess financial performance of profit/loss within the gift shop).
Hires, trains, manages, evaluates and directly supervises Slane retail personnel and temporary retail employees as well as seasonal temporary and/or contract personnel.
Schedules part-time, temporary and/or contract retail team personnel with the goal of minimizing labor costs.
Manages amenity program to maximize revenue generation and build brand awareness by working with external groups and internal BF/VIP/Trade groups that rent distillery or Castle facilities.
Responsible for yearly inventory and ultimately reconcile with Controller, retail assistant, and accountant.
Identifies new SKU opportunities and products
Shares all projects and merchandise orders with Manager, Visitor Experience and Licensing Manager.
Oversees all customer complaints relative to gift shop.
Manages POS retail system (day to day operations, staff training.)
Oversees all banking for Slane Distillery (change, deposits) and sales tax reporting.
Manages “Bottle Your Own” bottle program.
Develops yearly marketing strategy plan for retail program.
Manages shipping process.
Partners w/licensing and outsourced e-commerce vendor for cohesive brand items and ecommerce operations.
Partners with digital team for gift shop promotions.
Develops and executes a yearly retail promotional calendar in conjunction with brand team and digital marketing.
