Scope of Position:

Understand Brown-Forman and customer strategy including linkage

Innovate and implement business initiatives in line with strategies

  • Spend time in-venue during peak trading times

  • Provide industry or business relevant information the customer will value

Commercial Build Capability

  • Commercial scenarios linked to BFA / Customer strategies

  • Commercial scenarios linked to core decision-making triggers

  • Insights to support your case and increase customer engagement

  • Presentation build and fluency in presenting

Territory, Account & Time Management

  • Build territory plans that delivers both qualitative and quantifiable objectives

  • Pre-plan a number of objectives for each sales call

  • Efficiently and effectively manage time to deliver objectives

  • All accounts to be called on / contacted as required

  • Seek new business via planned and prepared cold-calling

Sales Administration

  • Evaluate territory and account plans within set timings

  • Activate and evaluate brand activations within set timings and budgets

  • Obtain scan data from outlets

  • Analyse data - extract commercial and consumer insights to develop new strategies

  • General internal account maintenance

Product and Technical Knowledge

  • Be the brand knowledge experts on all brands in BFA portfolio

  • Understand how cold product delivery works including innovation

  • Deliver internal and external training sessions

  • Proficiency in mixology

Strong Communicator

  • Talk-the-talk of the customer to understand their needs and then explore options

  • Construct meaningful business dialogue during calls using structured questioning strategies

  • Present innovative customer discussions with energy, passion and commercial acumen

Qualifications & Requirements

Must Requirements:

  • Experience within on premise channel

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in key account management

  • Tertiary qualification in a business related field

  • Experience in FMCG selling environment
