Scope of Position:

12 Month Contract

The Business Insights Analyst role will be critical in supporting Brown Forman’s objectives toward an insights driven organization and will be responsible for gathering and documenting business, functional and non-functional requirement as well as managing those requirements through to development, test and release.

The Business Insights Analyst is a true business partnering role working alongside key stakeholders in understanding and documenting business requirements, identifying processes and procedures to source data and deliver analytical reports and tools to drive business outcomes.

This role requires experience in data visualization and reporting techniques with business intelligence software such as Tableau and Power BI to deliver reporting and analytical capabilities to our business as well as advanced experience in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Reporting & Analytics

  • Collaborating with key stakeholders in the delivery of new dashboards to drive actionable insights.

  • Bring technical and commercial expertise to business problems and use the latest BI technologies, tools and methodologies to quickly develop solutions for the business.

  • Work with other finance/ commercial analysts and business partners to translate data into relevant and meaningful business insights.

  • Lead or participate in projects to deliver on BF-A’s reporting roadmap as well as contribute to the future deliverables based on stakeholder feedback.

  • Identify and integrate potential data sources external to the BF-A business.

  • Proactively collaborating and creating best in class practices with other stakeholders within BF and external to the business to promote a data driven culture.

Project Management

  • Project manage or participate in BI projects to deliver on approved proof of concepts.

  • Manage stakeholder expectations throughout each project, effectively guiding and advising on project deliverables.

  • Work closely with Project Managers as a technical expert in projects managed by other teams.

  • Work with Global IT and local counterparts on global projects with regard to data consolidation and business intelligence capabilities.

  • Manage multiple projects and timely delivery of projects in accordance with project timelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Commerce or Finance.

  • 2-3 years’ experience in an analytical role, including exposure to data visualization.

  • 2-3 years’ experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview to deliver reporting and analytical capability. Working knowledge of data analysis, data modelling, data segmentation, data integration and database design.

  • Working knowledge of relational database design, technical ability to access, organize and build datasets.

  • Understanding of change management, development and testing.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in alcohol beverage or FMCG industry.

  • Knowledge of project management.
