Brown-Forman Commercial Analyst - Sydney in Sydney, Australia
Scope of Position:
The Commercial analyst is the lead for the Budget Planning Process, coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders and data sources. The role is also the primary finance partner to the NZ & PI Business Manager.
In addition, much of the role could be considered quite varied, with an ad hoc and fairly unstructured nature. One key area will be leading measurement and evaluation projects from a variety of business areas including Sales, Marketing, and Pricing.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Budget Planning Lead
Coordinate collation of budget inputs (from SPA, FA, Marketing, Sales) in a timely fashion.
Support the BP&A Manager to be able to clearly communicate the budget, including insights behind the numbers, and assumptions.
Use influencing and business partnering skills to challenge inputs where necessary.
Adhoc Reporting, Analysis & Decision Support
A large part of this role will be ad hoc financial analysis, supporting the BP&A manager where required
Will be required to assist other team members from within Finance, or Sales and Marketing
KAMS implementation, and management of inputs/data (TBC)
Finance Partner to NZ&PI Business Manager
The primary finance support for the NZ&PI Business Manager
Support with accurate and timely P&L reporting (utilizing outputs from FA)
Ad hoc support where necessary; areas could include distributor margin analysis, pricing, brand spend, SG&A, etc.
Drive the measurement and evaluation agenda
Provide M&E analysis in areas such as Pricing, Brand Spend, Resource Allocation, NPD.
Using results of above analysis, make clear recommendations and drive actions for future decisions.
Create automated methods where possible
Resource Allocation Analysis
Through thorough analysis, optimize our resource allocation to maximize profit
Provide clear recommendations on any changes that should be made
Influence business partners to direct resources in the most productive way

Qualifications & Requirements
5 years or more experience in an Analyst position;
Strong Microsoft Excel skills;
Financial / business acumen;
Proven administration and project management capabilities.
Strong business partnering skills
Ability to influence stakeholders
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage an ambiguous, varied, and unstructured workload
Degree in Business/Finance/Management
