Brown-Forman People Dev Specialist, APAC (Maternity Leave Cover) in Sydney, Australia
This is a maternity cover role 9-12 months based in Hong Kong or Sydney Australia
Act as the Regional People Development Specialist by consulting with regional HR and business leaders to diagnose people development needs and opportunities, co-create learning and OE strategies, and execute development plans. Plan, execute and measure effective, customized and timely learning and development solutions to accelerate employee development, to include those identified as having high potential. Be a regional expert in the disciplines of performance management, change management, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development.
At the Regional Level
Facilitator of core, common, and global learning programmes
Diagnose local development needs and consult with functional experts to execute and align globally
Serve as a local change management facilitator and consultant
Deliver assessment feedback to all levels of the organization, this includes interpreting data from a broad range of assessments (including 360s), providing insights, co-creating development plans
Provide project management support to all APAC Leadership Development Programmes; including managing communications with participants and APAC Leadership Team, logistical support, securing and contracting vendors
Track and measure regional learning activities and outcomes and provide ongoing learning and development analysis to help drive continuous improvement
Provide resources and guidance to HR and Business Stakeholders on topics relating to Performance Management including; goal setting, performance assessment, feedback and crafting coaching and development plans
Coaching and development planning for high potentials in the respective leader pools, design and execute innovative regional leadership development programmes
Work alongside HR and Business Partners to execute D&I initiatives within the region
Local learning event execution in partnership with Meeting Planning resource and HRBP
Provide consultancy project management support for all APAC specific programs (i.e. Finance Bootcamp, Arts & Science, Digital)
Key regional user and gate keeper for the LMS – manage participants and content
Support the execution of New Manager Assimilations, team development initiatives, and on-boarding activities within region
Support administration of APAC Learning and Development budget; SG&A, invoicing etc
Source, contract and liaise with external vendors to ensure European training needs are met
Prepare working documents such as presentations, reports and updates, meeting documents such as agendas, meeting minutes, Google sites, etc.
Support HRBPs to enable regional training to be delivered (i.e. CSS/DPP)
Research and evaluate best practices in People Development and drive continuous improvement across the region
At the Global Level
Execute regional CM, D&I and performance management activities that are related to the company-wide practices
Partner with VP Global People Development Director to identify, develop and execute globally relevant initiatives (ex: Global Orientation)
Partner with other L&D Consultants and Specialists to share learning and development innovations that inform the global people development strategy
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in international HR or OD, OE, L&D related role, experience working directly with the operations part of the business, for example in a business-facing HR role
Experience working with multi-cultural teams and with businesses that are in various stages of their development, to include start-ups and turnarounds
Emerging credibility and experience to diagnose, design, and deliver just-in-time OD and L&D solutions
Project management experience and strong organizational skills with ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Ability to take ownership, handle and prioritize a high volume and varied workload independently in a fast-paced environment
High degree of independent judgment and initiative, in a team-oriented, self-managed and multi-cultural working environment.
Demonstrated ability to influence others and excellent communication skills
Emerging high level of consulting skills and facilitation skills
Ability to use analytics to identify trends and insights about learning, leadership, and people development as well as to measure impact of interventions
Ability to build and sustain strong relationships throughout all levels and across cultures and geographies
Vendor and budget management experience
Business fluent in English
Excellent computer skills, specifically Google, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and HR Technology such as Workday, Cornerstone etc.
As required, ability and readiness to travel internationally – min 25%.
Additional language from APAC group of countries (Cantonese, Mandarin, Thai etc)
Certification to deliver specific interventions/assessments/trainings such as Targeted Selection, Predictive Index, Hogan, 360, Coaching and MBTI.
