Brown-Forman Hospitality and Events Supervisor in Aberdeenshire, United Kingdom

Job Summary:

This varied role will including planning and executing events across our three distilleries and responsibility for trade/VIP/media group visits. This includes a number of properties offering overnight accommodation along with managing external contractors such as housekeeping services and caterers. Working closely with Brown-Forman meeting planning staff, sales and marketing organizations as well as other homeplace staff members, to deliver high levels of service and guest experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate group visits and provide premium experience to trade/distributor/VIP/media groups while on property.

  • Works closely with Brown-Forman event planners and homeplace team to coordinate trade groups visiting the distillery.

  • Provide operational coordination and supervision for external contractors eg caterers

  • Plan and deliver events as required across three distilleries

  • Manage onsite properties, including overseeing contract housekeeping services.

  • Source suppliers and ensure consistent stock of all amenities required for delivery of service.

  • Work with homeplace manager to ensure facilities are maintained to a high standard

  • Adhere to Brown Forman health and safety procedures and champion safe ways of working.

  • Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures for all hospitality areas ensuring compliance with food safety standards and other statutory requirements and relevant legislation.

  • Train and mentor team members to assist in delivery of hospitality services across sites and properties.

  • Work with homeplace manager and accountant to manage costs and align with budget, and administrative assistant to ensure appropriate billing/invoicing for services/event.

Required Experience & Education:

Education:

  • High School/GED/Secondary School

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role in the hospitality, retail, or spirits/wine industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to complete workload within designated time and high level of accuracy with little supervision.

  • Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills

  • A team player who demonstrates a partnering attitude and capability. This will be a small staff, must be willing to jump in and do what needs to be done.

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads

  • Availability to work weekends and holidays

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal employees as well as external business partners.

  • Action oriented; responds in a timely and effective manner to business issues and opportunities.

  • Highly organized; is capable of meeting multiple deadlines and juggling multiple projects.

Preferred Experience & Education:

Have an in-depth knowledge of our industry and experience supervising others.
