Brown-Forman Human Resources Analyst in Amatitán, Mexico

Position scope: The Human Resources Analyst will handle day-to-day administration of the operation and Human Resources function for BFTM or VAMA, supporting approximately 450/400 union employees as well as non-union employees.

The position will maintain employee information in our Human Resource system (Workday) for all related issues, as well as provide assistance with recruiting, hiring and orientation of hourly workforce. Provide administrative support for the Human Resources Department, coordinates plant-wide employee activities and assists with plant communication.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

HR Policy: Assist with employee and management questions regarding policy issues and interpretation.

HR System Administration: Manage hourly employee time and attendance incidents for both union and salaried employees, including validation and correction in the system, if needed. Maintain and update information in Workday for hourly & salaried populations. Ensure integrity of HR data and documentation, including employees’ files. Administer the time evaluation process according to the payroll calendar.

Talent Acquisition: Assist with recruitment for some union & salaried open positions by scheduling interviews, coordinating physicals and drug screens for candidates and background checks with vendors.

Communication & Employee Engagement: Responsible for designing and administering plant communication, including TV´s in lunch rooms, lunch room menu, emails for new hires & promotions, and bulletin boards. Coordinate plant-wide employee engagement and diversity & inclusion activities. Coordination of the B-F employee appreciation & recognition program.

Employee Relations: Assist the HRBP and the operations team with attendance and discipline administration, preparing disciplinary documentation as needed.

Training & Development: Conduct new employee hiring and orientation sessions, coordinate site training events and order office and training supplies.

Other administrative activities: Responsible for creating employee ID badges. Generate overtime reports and send them to each area. Create and track purchase order requests in SAP. Assist with meeting scheduling and travel arrangements.

Competencies:

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Ability to interact effectively and handle employee requests

  • Ability to deal with emotional situations with tact and professionalism.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.

Job Requirements :

  • Education: College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources or General Administrative role.

Preferred Requirements :

  • Experience in recruitment & competency-based interview process.

  • Experience with the Workday HR system.

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
