Brown-Forman CHIEF OF STAFF & Communications Director in Amsterdam, Netherlands
Provides special project and strategic support to the President of BF International Supports the President to identify and prioritize key issues. Assists in solving problems and identifying opportunities. Assists the President with developing strategies for growing the business, increasing profits, reducing costs, and optimizing investments. For career development purposes the individual will be challenged to address issues across a range of functions often outside of his/her primary area of expertise. The role includes communications as well which includes a variety of communication needs of the president, internally and externally.
Provide strategic, analytic, and staff support to President BF International
Responsible for planning, execution and follow-up of Leadership Team meetings, prepare meeting notes/minutes as required.
Anticipate, coordinate and/or facilitate communication/analytical needs.
Prepare speeches, presentations and talking points.
Analyze relevant data and work quickly to identify key issues.
Develop and maintain key contacts and establish positive working relationships on behalf of the President with internal and external partners.
Become an integral part of the BF International Leadership Team and be the Go To person for LT members and act as the deputy as needed
Collaborate with other Chiefs on enterprise-wide Executive Committee level initiatives.
Attends meetings in the absence of the President of North America/Mexico as proxy providing updates and meeting notes.
1Become the key communications person to president from developing the communications plan, preparing written and oral communications to larger, smaller, internal and external stakeholder groups. Provide communications support to other BF INT LT members as appropriate.
Master’s Degree in Business Administration or relevant degree plus 10y + experience,
A demonstrated self-starter who is creative, curious and able to think strategically with excellent problem solving skills. Comfortable with the big picture, but able to focus on the details too.
Ability to be flexible, balance multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a sense of humor. Comfortable with ambiguity.
Exceptional interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to listen and learn from others. Able to inspire high levels of respect.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to draft speeches and persuade others to accept and implement recommendations.
A zest for continuous learning – demonstrated project management skills with a willingness to take on projects outside of realm of expertise.
Excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
Financial experience and/or education sufficient to develop/research responses to financial questions.
Preferably at least three years experience with Brown-Forman.
Ability to work both independently and within a strong interdisciplinary team environment.
Organizational and intellectually savvy.
Strong analytical skills
Advanced computer and software skills.
Willingness to travel internationally. (Need will vary depending on project assignments.)
Experience in internal and external communications, in writing speeches and preparing PPT decks
Good organizational instincts.
Native English speaker
Experience in International business
