Meaningful Work From Day One
This role is to oversee the Global Integrated Communications strategy for Finlandia Vodka, Slane Irish Whiskey and Chambord Liqueur being a thought partner to the Brand team on translating brand objectives into Comms strategy and plans
The role is to guide, support and work closely with the local IMC leaders as well as the local brand marketers around the world in improving the processes and implementation of communications plans and evaluating results
The role will work closely with the Brown-Forman Global IMC Center of Excellence (CoE) across communication disciplines including media, CRM, websites, search, communications analytics and content management
Importantly this role is responsible for developing communications strategy but is also “hands-on” when required to manage content, websites, CRM, social media and short-term initiatives
As a key member of the Global brand teams, this role will be integral to agency briefings, idea evaluation and execution of the “Communications Big Idea” as well as agency collaboration.
Internally your title will be IMC Manager.
What You Can Expect
While being an integral part of the Global Brand Team, this role will realy on close collaboration with the Global IMC CoE and Market IMC teams to achieve excellence in the following areas:
Global Communications Excellence:
Is the point person on FV, SLN & CH communication globally.
In conjunction with Global Marketing Manager Finlandia Vodka & Senior Brand Manager Slane & Chambord “joins the dots” on communication across media, CRM, search, website, data and analytics, content and e-commerce for all three brands.
Acts as a thought partner to the FV, SLN & CH marketing team on how best to formulate and communicate brands’ communication strategy to reflect the strategic goals of building brand difference (Meaningful Difference) and relevance to buying motivations (Contextual relevance)
Thinks innovatively based on evidence and planned test and learn programs how to continually evolve brands’ communication strategy in line with evolving media landscape and consumer behaviours
Works closely with Global Brand Insights on understanding campaign effectiveness including brand tracker
Monitors competition communication and provides insights, advises to Global brand team on benchmarks for campaign metrics
Responsible for Own channels development and management for three brands
Responsible for understanding brand positioning, marketing strategy, and tone of voice to be supported in all marketing communications.
Content Management and Optimization:
Enables, in partnership with the Global Brand Team, the development of world-class content via a globally-led, locally-infused process. Provides insights to the marketing team to constantly optimize and refine content development
Works closely with markets on content needs to understand what content is scalable and can be produced globally to increase efficiency and reduce creative development and agency fees at a market level.
Develops the global Content Strategy and Content Calendar for three brands
Builds strong relationships with key Global agencies ensuring world-class content and placements
Owns the brands’ content (rights, BAR+, etc) and ensures world-class and prioritized assets that are easy to find and use globally
Shares and communicates guidelines for the global content calendar, timings and process.
Works with the local IMC Managers and CoE to ensure communications are aligned with digital and media compliance guidelines as well as inclusive and responsible marketing best practices.
Collaboration & Best Practice:
Shares learning & best practices on communications initiatives (media & content) across markets, brands and teams. Encourages cross-market communication and sharing.
Reviews implementation of communications strategy in key markets in line with Global brand and Global IMC Center of Excellence guidelines.
Is the lead point of connection for FV, SLN & CH Global Brand teams with the Integrated Marketing Communications CoE.
Partners with CoE to build Global teams' capability on Brand Communications and Media
Partners with Global creative/digital/PR agencies collaborating on creative development and content optimization
Partners Advocacy and homeplace teams to amplify advocacy efforts in media
Planning, Measurement & Optimization:
Supports markets in the development of communications plans to deliver on brand strategy.
Partners with Brand teams and CoE on campaign measurements and evaluation, provides optimization learnings
Partners with CoE to ensure the brand is leveraging new technologies and media platforms
Partners with key stakeholders including markets and finance and analytics to understand media investment progress and share of voice/ share of market data.
What You Bring To The Table
Experience of working on client and agency side in media and marketing disciplines including management of multi-country communication plans
Ideally, the candidate will have a combination of client and agency experience or have experience in client management on the agency side
Strong understanding of marketing principles and brand growth strategy.
Evidence of impactful Strategic thinking and complex project management within the Communications environment

Experience working across markets in communications for a multinational company
A career track that has included brand management or another core marketing discipline in addition to media or communications would be a strong plus
Strategic thinking across media, social, online video, CRM, search, website, data and analytics, content and e-commerce.
