Brown-Forman SAP Functional Architect (REMOTE) in Boston, Massachusetts
Meaningful Work From Day One:
The scope of this position covers the architecture and design of business systems and process improvements of Brown-Forman’s global SAP environments. This position will assess needs and make solution recommendations, be responsible for all business application architecture, and implement new functionality and improvements for business processes utilizing integrated system technologies where appropriate. Responsibilities also include leading software evaluation, acquisition, deployment, and maintenance processes.
What You Will Do In This Role;
Responsible for analyzing and translating business information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve complex business objectives.
Manages the entire lifecycle of the SAP ecosystem and recommends technologies comprising the SAP landscape.
Working with functional area managers, interface with process owners and super users in the development and architecture of business requirements.
Serve as in-house expert on SAP enterprise-wide technologies, business processes and end-user information delivery tools.
Responsible for understanding and documenting the architecture of all SAP business systems and processes.
Ensures that the ERP and APO systems operate seamlessly in delivery of in scope end to end business processes supporting our customers.
Analyze business systems to determine effectiveness. Identify inadequacies, inefficiencies and problems. Architect and design long term, global solutions.
Evaluate business needs and business process requirements and recommend and implement solutions. Manage business partner relations and expectations.
Establish and enforce standardization of business processes and technologies within IT and among operating unit business users.
Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization to ensure project success and user needs are identified and met. Participate in a variety of meetings, groups, and committees to communicate and confer about process analysis of existing procedures and systems, determine cost/benefit and complexities of new processes and projects, prepare for testing, and discuss the roll-out of new projects and software upgrades, following IT Governance processes.
Enhance and maintain current enterprise systems by providing support to the business community and rolling out enhancements and upgrades.
Mentoring and coaching junior team members.
What Exactly Are We Looking For:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field.
15 or more years of relevant work experience in IT applications across various customers and industries.
Deep understanding and experience in architecting SAP solutions: SAP ERP (SD, MM, PP, FI,etc.), SAP APO, SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP Personas/Fiori, and SAP Mobility.
Ability to work in a high pressure environment, meet deadlines, and simultaneously develop, deploy and coordinate multiple projects.
Proven ability to quickly learn existing business processes and combine knowledge from multiple disciplines in order to produce an optimal business solution.
What Makes You Unique:
Masters degree in business (MBA) or related field.
Experience working in various SAP specific integration technologies.
Demonstrates well rounded technology experience/exposure.
Experience working with consumer products, process manufacturing and/or the beverage industry.
Experience with international organizations with diverse business operations and needs.

Ability to perform workflow analysis and translate the outcome into architecture of definable software functionality.
Contractor and vendor relationship experience, including software licensing and professional services agreements, and outsourcing service models.
Ability to conduct workshops and roadmap planning sessions.
Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
