Brown-Forman Global Gift and Point of Sale Manager- Jack Daniel's in Cincinnati, Ohio

Driving mental and physical availability for our brands is a key component of our Jack Daniel’s growth strategy. Gift & POS represent a significant investment for Brown-Forman and being efficient and effective in this area of brand building is critical to allocate necessary resources to broad reach media. This will be achieved through a combination of reduction in offerings/items, reduction in volume of items, and through efficiencies driven by best practice in strategic sourcing. Ultimately, we want to deliver world-class, high quality, sustainable and relevant POS/Gift items when they are needed in every market.

The Global Jack Daniel’s Gift & POS Manager is responsible for creating and managing these two important brand building programs. They will steward the concepting, development, and execution of world class gift packaging offerings as well as impactful point of sale driven by brand positioning, distinctive assets, and informed by the BF Growth Framework. Leveraging a “Globally Led, Locally Infused” operating model and working with agency partners, regional and market leaders, cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, they will exhibit excellent leadership and collaboration skills to transform our ways of working in this important area.

What You Can Expect:

  • Develops strategy, brief, and execution of core global offerings of Gift Packaging including everyday gift box, seasonal gift packaging, value-added packaging, and limited editions (non-product related).

  • Develops strategy, brief, and execution for a core range of point of sale materials intended to meet a significant majority of global needs around on-premise prominence tools, off-premise display, and activation tools.

  • Partners with Brown-Forman Design and agency partners to develop timelines, cost guidance, and the creative development process.

  • Works to drive efficiency in the process and evaluate performance to consistently drive excellence in global offerings, minimize slow moving inventory, and optimize investments in this area.

  • Provides excellent stakeholder management to “connect the dots” with global brand team members, design, production and others.

  • Partners with Brown-Forman production to ensure quality control, cost guidance, and timely delivery of items.

  • Brings a consumer centric approach driven by insights that connect the dots to brand and business objectives.

  • Measurement, evaluation and optimization - setting KPIs and continuously optimizing execution of strategies and programs (including things like range reviews etc)

  • Promote and integrate sustainability across the development and production process of POS/Gift

  • Becomes an expert of best practices, consumer & shopper insight, and leveraging Gift & POS within the Growth Framework.

  • Educates and champions best practices with regional and market leaders to influence plans and inspire global collaboration.

  • Responsible for publishing global core offerings for Gift & POS and educating market brand managers and others responsible for executing.

  • Fosters an inclusive and diverse culture and is a champion of B-F’s D&I goals

We Are Looking For People Who:

  • 8+ years of marketing and brand activation (especially with packaging, POS experience)

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred, or equivalent

  • Brand positioning and visual identity management across brand programs

  • Project management experience and attention to detail in planning and execution

  • Advanced understanding of Winning at the point of purchase

  • Agency management and leadership

  • Proven Business and Financial acumen

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to operate very effectively in a collaborative, matrix environment

  • Highly sophisticated communication skills and a proven record of ‘influencing without authority’ (i.e. not relying on reporting structures to align with stakeholders on key decisions)

  • Education: Masters Degree (M.A., MBA or Equivalent);

  • Louisville, KY Headquarters Office

  • B-F Regional office in Atlanta, GA

  • Remote work from home set up in cities in close proximity to Louisville as travel to the Louisville campus monthly will be necessary
