Meaningful Work from Day One

The Global Head of Prestige will be responsible for maximizing brand and business value for the prestige portfolio of Brown Forman's Single Malts (The GlenDronach, Benriach and Glenglassaugh). Working closely with the Brand Director he/she will lead the Global Marketing Strategy, Global Business Development, and will be responsible for elevating the profile of the brands in the prestige ecosystems where rare Single Malt operate. The role will also lead the brands Global Advocacy Strategy, ensuring advocacy efforts are delivering against global brand business strategy. He/She will play a vital role in the developing the next chapter of these single malt brands, and in achieving Brown Forman’s ambitious targets whilst ensuring long term value generation.

This is a home based where that can be based anywhere in the UK.

What You Will Do in This Role

  1. Lead Global Marketing Strategy for Single Malts Prestige Range.

a. Develop Global Marketing guidelines for building mental availability of prestige single malts.

b. Develop, in collaboration with the Brand Managers, guidelines and toolkits for Prestige Portfolio product launches and experiences.

c. Collaborate with key markets to ensure executional excellence in marketing and commercialisation of the prestige portfolios.

d. Improve organizational capabilities in building and selling the prestige portfolio.

  1. Lead Global Business Development for Single Malts Prestige range

a. Co-lead Global Allocations for prestige portfolio (in collaboration with Emerging Brands Strategy Director and regional teams) balancing short and long term value creation.

b.Develop guidelines for driving Physical Availability for prestige single malts.

c. Develop and manage (globally-led) sales to private clients through third party brokers.

3.Collaborate closely with the brand team and whisky development team on Prestige Portfolio Development.

a.Working with Rare and Exclusive Brand Manager maximize brand and business value of Old and Rare inventory

  1. Lead Global Advocacy Strategy for the Single Malt Brands

a.Develop the Global Brand Advocacy Strategy and plan .

b. Manage Global Brand Ambassador ensuring their time is maximized against Global Business and Brand Priorities.

c. Lead and the deployment strategy for Global Figure Heads advocacy time (Whisky Makers).

d. Working with Global Brand Ambassador and Brand Managers, develop global advocacy guidance and tools.

e. Working with Global Brand Ambassador, develop BF’s Scotch Whisky Education programme

f. Be an authority for whisky advocacy and education, inspiring regional/local ambassadorial teams

  1. Elevate the Prestige profile of the Brown Forman Single Malt Brands

a. In collaboration with Brand Managers develop and manage luxury partnerships which elevate the profile of the Single Malts (Walpole, Distillers One of One, Keeper of the Quaich etc)

b. Be an active presence in the prestige ecosystems where Single Malts operate. Build key global relationships (trade & lifestyle) that build brand profile.

  1. Develop and elevate the VIP Homeplace experience

a. In collaboration with the Homeplace team, develop the VIP experience playbook for the Brand Homes

b. Oversee VIP Hosting ensuring experiences are prestigious, memorable, and distinct. The role will require occasional hosting (once per month on average) but the bulk of hosting will be conducted by the Distillery Ambassador or Global Brand Ambassador.

  1. Promote and nurture an open and inclusive culture internally and externally in all aspects of the role.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 10 years + experience marketing and or sales in a luxury consumer goods environment

  • Watches & Jewelry, Wines and Spirits, Fashion, Fine Art, Luxury Cars

  • Education: College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent) or equivalent experience

  • Willingness to travel. The role will require regular international and domestic travel, including some weekends.

  • Proven track record at influencing across organizations and disciplines

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with confidence in communicating across cultures and with HNWI’s.

  • Strong verbal and written communicator who can create clear images through words

  • Superb interpersonal skills, stakeholder management and ability to operate effectively in a highly collaborative matrix

  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with influencers

  • Brand champion and an ability to persuade and invigorate others toward a common goal and success

What will make you stand out:

  • Experience in Prestige Spirits/Wine marketing (> £5000 per bottle).

  • Experience in private casks

  • Authentic passion for Scotch Whisky and its potential within the B-F portfolio

  • Proven experience working with global markets, especially in Asia

  • Proven experience in developing organizational capabilities in luxury sales and marketing

  • Ability to work with agility and an entrepreneurial mindset

  • A demonstrated self-starter who is creative, curious, and able to think strategically with excellent problem-solving skills. Comfortable with the big picture, but able to focus on the details too.

  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to turn “insights to actions for growth” and create clarity out of complexity

  • Ability to effectively manage through ambiguity as BF Builds capabilities and experience in building prestige Single Malt
