Brown-Forman Commercial Financial Analyst in Gurgaon, India
Main activities and responsibilities:
Monthly analysis of brand performance and market business results for the entire IMENA P&L, relative
to budgets, last year and competitive set, incorporating both internal and external data and metrics.
Develop and communicate understanding of the key business drivers of the variance through monthly
analysis. Communication of IMENA consolidated financial and operational performance trends,
historical and forecasted results via monthly business reporting. Identifying potential risks / upsides
based on trend analysis and market insights.
Assist the FP&A Manager during the annual financial planning and monthly forecast (Outlook) process.
Work closely and collaboratively with sales teams in managing pricing by adhering to the pricing
process including interpreting and standardizing price structures. Preparing analysis and
recommendations for all price changes for approval.
Work closely and collaboratively with sales teams in the development and execution of market
business reviews with distributors.
Monitor on a monthly basis Shipments/Depletions and distributor inventory
Provide monthly analysis on discounting, SNS and GP analysis
Provide support in managing the A&P budget by reviewing A&P invoices with sales and marketing
managers, providing monthly A&P tracking, analysis and reporting.
Review T&E and SG&A on a monthly basis; identify and communicate reasons for variances and follow-
up action steps.
Perform ad hoc deep market analysis, determining the key business drivers; analyze and identify
potential problem areas or opportunities.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to the IMENA team.
Provide financial forecasting based on price elasticity modelling.
Degree in Finance or Business Administration, MBA preferred.
5 years’ experience in similar positions.
Work experience in international consumer product companies.
Verbal and written fluency in English

Able to create, analyze and interpret financial data and effectively communicate insights

Demonstrated high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP and BI

organization including brands, channels and accounts.

knowledge of enterprise systems. Familiarity/experience in a Finance/Administration background (BW,
Excel, PowerPoint and SAP)

organization. Seeks consensus on business decisions with business partners. Follows though in a
timely manner. The ability to clearly discuss business issues and translate into financial implications and action plans.
