Brown-Forman Field Sales Specialist - GTR, Nordics & Baltics: Maternity Cover(1 yr) in Helsinki, Finland
This position will work to ensure the development of Brown-Forman brands in travel retail sales channels in Nordic and Baltic, in alignment with our brand building philosophy and global brand strategies. Working under the management of the Strategic Accounts Manager, this position will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all travel retail activities in the covered territory. The role will collaborate with global travel retail and local management teams to evaluate market conditions implement sales and promotional plans and recommend changes .
Development of BF business through the effective account management of assigned retailers, who operate across the area. Main customer contacts include purchasing, marketing, on- and off-trade managers and staff, and supply chain. Identify and exploit Sales and brand building opportunities through merchandising and promotional activities, additional store activities, training, incentivizing, rewarding and influencing.
In Collaboration with Strategic Accounts Manger manage annual pricing, listing and promotional tender processes and negotiations with all customers in partnership with GTR stakeholders and finance, to ensure optimal profitability.
Together with the Trade Marketing Managers, plan, implement and analyse promotional activities.
Manage and execute all fairs and events, and execute brand trainings for the staff and optimize visibility of our brands at the point of sale with focus on Nordic Ferries, key Airports and other channels. Manage the Brand Ambassador in Puttgarden Bordershop.
Responsibility of A&P and Discount budget and planners.
Demonstrate ability to work in an integrated team environment.
Monitor the B-F web of financial and service systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, efficiency and above all, profitability.
Act as the primary two-way conduit between key TR customers and B-F Customer Service.
Work directly with B-F Customer Service to effectively handle all logistical challenges
Possess entrepreneurial spirit and initiative with the ability to succeed in many skill areas including negotiating, influencing, presentation skills and problem solving.
Remain vigilant toward iTNT and work with key stakeholders to identify and address issues in a timely manner.
Work within the policies stated in Brown-Forman’s Code of Conduct and use professional judgement in representing Brown-Forman at all times.
Utilize B-F brand and T&E budgets appropriately and within B-F guidelines.
Bachelor’s degree in sales or marketing, and 1-3 years sales experience, ideally in travel retail.
Fluent spoken and written English, Swedish and Finnish
Willing to travel extensively (c.50%)
Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours when business and events require.
Fully literate in Microsoft office
Experience of the spirits industry, ideally from a travel retail perspective, although this is not essential
Strong oral and written communications skills
Ability to perform under minimum supervision, with well-developed initiative, and ability to exercise independent judgement.
