Scope: A fantastic opportunity has arisen at one of Scotland's oldest distilleries near Huntly, Aberdeenshire. This is a fixed term full time position, working 35 hours per week from April / May through to September / October 2023. You will be working 5 days out of 7 and this will include some weekends. You will act as an ambassador for the distillery and its products, hosting guests on tours and working across all visitor centre functions including retail and bar.

Job Responsibilities:

Work across all areas of the visitor centre including hosting groups, working in the retail shop and tasting bar

Host all levels of tours of the distillery, delivering high standards of customer service.

Responsible for opening and closing premises.

Assign roles for daily operations, including allocating tours

Ensures uniform application and consistency of company policies and procedures and develops good employee relations.

Ensure the Visitor Centre is kept clean, tidy and free from hazards at all times.

Drive safety initiatives. Ensure that safe working conditions exist and that all programs and policies are effectively practiced.

Undertake daily checks of tour route ensuring safe access through the distillery.

Ensure compliance with BF quality policies, standards, and systems.

Complete all daily banking requirements

Complete monthly stock takes.

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of face to face customer service or retail experience

Must be fluent in English

Strong verbal communication skills

Strong people skills

Strong time management and organizational skills

Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Keen attention to detail, with a commitment to follow through and follow-up

Must act in a professional manner in all situations

Must be willing to work weekends
