Brown-Forman Human Resources Manager - West Region in Irving, Texas
Scope of Role:
Serve as the HR Business Partner for the West Region covering sales, marketing, finance, regional account management and operations across 20 states. Utilize knowledge and experience to coaching leaders, onboard and hire talent into our team, support effective performance management processes including goal setting, feedback and improvement processes, talent/succession processes and lead teams through organizational change. Lead inclusion and diversity efforts with the field teams as we ensure we think about the strategy and how to execute it, ensuring accountability measures are in place. Analytics, data integrity and reporting are important elements to ensure information is created and shared in a way to support the team and leadership.
Coach leaders on people concerns evaluating the needs of the business and individual concerns. Balance the needs of both the business and what is right for people to ensure credibility and consideration in a balanced way.
Hire and onboard talent to the organization ensuring full understanding of our culture and values, policies, procedures and support processes such as performance management and talent/succession.
Lead inclusion and diversity efforts to support the learning requirement and involvement and accountability of the teams supporting.
Lead key people processes for the teams around talent and succession planning, performance management and other HR related processes to support people and the business.
Handle sensitive employee relations issues to ensure proper process and follow up actions are completed.
Manage special projects and serve on project teams as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and 5+ years’ experience HRBP related role. Equivalent education and experience will be considered in combination.
Knowledge of Human Resource practices and employment law.
Personal credibility, trust and consistent evidence of ability to exercise good judgment, discretion and maturity in responding to requests for data, resolving problems and to effectively handle confidential information and materials.
Ability to work independently and execute responsibilities with good structure, planning and organization skills in a fast paced sales environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of personnel both within and outside the company.
Ability to travel as needed to support the business. Likely average of 25% travel.
