Brown-Forman Super Premium Whiskey Business Development Manager EECCA/Russia in Kiev, Ukraine
The main responsibility of the Business Development Manager Super Premium Portfolio is to drive sales growth of Brown Forman Scotch Whisky portfolio in EECCA & Russia by direct management of our Scotch whisky’s distributors (EECCA only), by providing internal and external education on our Scotch business (EECCA + Russia) & trade advocacy (EECCA & Russia). On top of that, the person will help accelerate growth of Woodford Reserve by providing education & trade advocacy within the EECCA region.
This position will play pivotal role in the EECCA/Russia Super Premium business within respective sales channels. Main purpose of the role is to develop Super Premium Whiskey Portfolio with the focus onto single malt scotch into an independent source of operational income. To ensure business opportunity available within geographies in taken and accelerated with sustainable growth pace.
Develop and align brands/commercial strategies and KPIs with local B-F’s Scotch Malts/Woodford distributors in EECCA markets in cooperation with BF local management teams including depletion and shipment plans, price management, trade marketing programs, listings, channels activation, management of trade and consumer enquiries, liaison with Logistics, QC, Finance and customer account departments, A&P expenditure evaluation/reconciliation. This person will provide inputs in commercial matters on BF Scotch business in Russia but will not lead it.
Ensure all messaging and pricing is consistent and in line with the global positionings of B-F’s Scotch brands/Woodford
Lead ongoing business integration of the Scotch portfolio, working with Brown-Forman market teams, EU BDM, Global team
Work with EU BDM and local markets on launching limited release, single cask program and product allocation, liaising closely with the Global team and Operations, to agree quantities, timings and pricing
Act as a regional ambassadorial resource to support key whisky fairs, tastings, events, host high profile masterclasses as well as help host key customers, distributors, business partners at the distillery Home Places in Scotland
Provide whisky/brands education and training's to local teams of BF Super Premium distributors, in a way which creates deep understanding of B-F’s new Scotch brands, arming local commercial teams with capability to effectively sell, promote and accelerate growth of the Scotch portfolio/Woodford in their market/s
Coordinate visits of the Global Brand Ambassadors to Russia (Scotch only) and EECCA markets (Scotch & WR)
Proactively stay informed of competitive activity, business dynamics and market conditions in EECCA and Russia, feeding in opportunities, issues, ideas to local management teams, which help refine local strategies and unlock new business growth opportunities
Actively support EECCA and Russian management teams in annual brand business planning and provide local management team and EU BDM regular monthly reporting and quarterly reviews on business status and performance dynamics.
Education: Master’s Degree (Economy, Marketing, Management preferable)
Experience: 5-7 years of progressive experience in luxury goods industry with track record of
business development, P&L responsible
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
In depth understanding re luxury industry and consumer specifics
Experience in pricing management including price modeling, discount management, knowledge and ability to convert price market data into selling strategy
Influencing client relationship building skills
Leadership skills both in product and partnership with distribution/clients
Strong networking capability
Demonstrated convincing oral and written communication skills
Fluent business English, Russian speaking and writing
IT literate (good knowledge in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Tools)
Luxury wine/spirits experience with clear passion towards uniqueness of the brand value proposition
Single Malt Whiskey knowledge supported by commercial experience
Multi-market experience and ability to navigate through geo-political turmoil, embracing business opportunity available
