B-F’s business in Ukraine and CIS covers 11 markets with significant long-term growth opportunities, but also faces high levels of VUCA to manage. We use a 3rd party RTC, working with 10 different distributor partners and collaborating with and influencing their sales & marketing teams. The level of distributor sophistication ranges widely within the region. Ukraine is the largest market in B-F’s European & African alliance with Coca-Cola Hellenic. The area is organized in two business units -- Ukraine and CIS. B-F has a 5-person team, including a Commercial Manager. The B-F Commercial team must engage and influence the distributor partners to gain fair share of attention and ensure alignment on plans & execution.
Meaningful Work From Day One
This role will be an integral part of commercial team Ukraine and will work to define sales, distribution, promotion goals and commercial strategies for emerging channels (e.g. specialized retails and e-com); including analysis of sales, distribution and promotion performance, implementation and evaluation of trade and consumer promotion activities.
This role also will work to establish effective and trusted business partnerships across all relevant Distributor Team and functions including category, supply chain, marketing and finance and provide clarity to the commercial team on business performance and future outlook.
Your internal title will be Emerging Channels Manager .
What You Can Expect
Business Development and Relationships
Develop business and portfolio initiatives, yearly budgets and quarterly projections, price structures in Specialized and E-Com retail with close cooperation with Commercial manager and National Off-Trade Manager and other internal stakeholders
Develop a strong relationship with the Distributor Team and customers, understand what drives their decision making process
Build strong internal relationships across BF Ukraine, working extensively with the Distributor Team, brand teams, finance and supply chain teams among others to effectively deliver growth and business development
Maximize shaping business development opportunities
Recommends actions to adapt to changes on a proactive basis
Leads regular team meetings and manage development of emerging business accounts
Commercial & Strategic Planning in Specialized and E-Com retail
Develop account plan including volume, promotional activity, visibility, logistics and financial information along with KPIs for measuring results
Support sales leadership team in developing and definitions annual plans
Work with National Off-trade manager & Marketing team to develop annual promotional plans
Work closely with National Off-trade manager & Finance to manage annual budgets
Provide in-depth ongoing analysis of emerging channel trends, competitor activity and identification of company/brand’s strengths and weaknesses
What You Bring to the Table
Education: College/University (Master’s degree)
Experience: 3 years minimum in FMCG sales
Very good knowledge of the Ukraine retail environment
Business proficiency of English (speaking and writing)
IT literate, MS Office and Google Workplace applications
Negotiation, communication and influencing skills
Fluent Ukrainian and advanced English
Great analytical skills, commercially savvy and solution focused to solving problems
Developed presentation skills and translating sales information in a clear, concise and visually appealing way
Self-starter with proven ability to identify issues and projects, plan and prioritize with demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects to completion by specific deadlines
