The scale of this brand means that as a 1 year maternity cover, this role will offer ample development opportunities for anyone looking to strengthen capabilities across the whole marketing mix, propelling them into their next role.

Meaningful Work From Day One

The role reports to the Marketing Manager, JDTW and contributes in driving the profitable growth of the iconic Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. The Assistant Brand Manager will actively support the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey Team in the development of marketing, advertising and promotional programmes and will have full ownership of their implementation, while owning selected projects from start to finish.

This is a fixed term contract until September 2024.

What You Can Expect

Brand Strategy execution and implementation

  • Support the development of annual brand plans seeking approval from local, regional and global brand stakeholders

  • Help bring brand campaigns to life by working collaboratively with agency partners (Media, Experiential, PR) and internal stakeholders (Integrated Marketing Communications, Brand & Business Insights, Advocacy) to ensure seamless execution & strong consumer engagement

  • Work closely with the Integrated Marketing Communications team to drive our digital-first agenda; including best-in-class digital shelf, eCRM strategy & ongoing Test & Learn initiatives across digital channels

  • Work closely with the Customer Marketing team to develop & execute trade activation plans across multiple channels (Grocery, Specialists, e-Com, Wholesales & On Trade)

  • Be a brand guardian in ensuring the brands are creatively expressed in a super premium way and consistent with the Global Brand Guidelines across touchpoints

Drive for results

  • Monitor brand performance through Monthly Business Reviews and determine corrective action where necessary in conjunction with Sales counterparts

  • Manage and track the A&P budgets for the brand including regular meetings with finance and budget owners to track spend

  • Spend time in the trade to understand practical implementation of all marketing promotional activities, competition and understand the dynamics of the market

  • Strongly partner with production and global team to ensure UK needs are fulfilled

Strategic Relationships & Partnerships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey Global Team

  • Work closely with key cross functional counterparts, including Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Marketing, Finance, Legal, Compliance

  • Initiate and maintain close, consistent communication with external agencies

  • Be a champion of the brand internally by organising internal engagement events and tastings around key activity periods

  • Act as a role model of B-F values - support a Diverse and Inclusive culture where different perspectives are encouraged and individuals feel connected and valued

What You Bring to the Table

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Marketing / Marketing-related role

  • Passion and love for consumer brand marketing

  • Experience in digital marketing/campaigns

  • Experience with analysing data from a number of sources

  • Event/project management skills

  • Understanding of sales and operations
