What You Will Do in This Role

The Communications Specialist will support the creation and delivery of highly integrated, impactful, and effective communications to various executive leaders, functions and geographies in the Europe and Emerging International divisions. This role will develop and execute a wide range of communication deliverables for both internal and external audiences, utilizing and reflecting the B-F Brand identity standards and guidelines (tone, voice, look, feel, expression, assets).

While there is a strong focus on drafting written materials of all types, the role will also contribute to the development and production of presentations, templates, Google sites, infographics, videos, virtual meetings/conferences, town halls for European Leadership Team (EULT) and Emerging International Leadership Team (EILT) and other communications formats in partnership with digital, media, design and event planning colleagues.

In close collaboration with the Sr. Communications Partner as well as the Manager Brown-Forman Brand, the Communications Specialist will become a key driver of advocacy, expression and knowledge about the Brown Forman Brand and its assets for the local teams in the Europe & Emerging International Divisions.

The Communications Specialist role will report into the Sr. Communications Partner for Europe & Emerging International.

What You Can Expect

  • Support the Sr. Communications Partner with the implementation of the communications strategies for the EULT and EILTLead the development and realization of specific elements of the EULT and EILT communications plans

  • Be the first point of contact to local market teams within the Europe and Emerging International divisions for any communications advice and training needs on existing, internal B-F communications toolsIn the area of internal corporate communications, be responsible for the drafting and/or editing of i.e. wide distribution emails, internal announcements, video and/or presentation scripts, talking points, Q&As, news blurbs, etc.

  • In the area of external corporate communications, provide support to the Sr. Communications partner with the drafting and/or editing of i.e. press releases, preparation of interviews, answering media requests, Q&A etc. (partly in collaboration with external agency partners, if available), be responsible for the delivery of input for the B-F external communications platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter (in close collaboration with the B-F Brand Integrated Media Communications Manager)Be the EU/EI go-to-resource for providing support for specific corporate communications systems and tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Infogram

  • In close collaboration with the other Communications Specialists, take over the responsibility for the update and maintenance of key corporate communications systems and tools (such as the Global comms calendar, Marketing Cloud) for the EU/EI

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Proven ability as an author of primary documents and a proofreader and editor of materials written by others

  • Business English fluent, both verbally as well as in written form

  • Desire to learn, innovate and grow as a communicator

  • Open-minded and proactive personality with interest in working in a multicultural environment

  • Strong teamwork approach and mindset
