This exciting role of Junior Accountant based in London has the responsibility for facilitating, coordinating financial accounting, reporting, and analytical activities with regards to UK Indirect Customer Rebates. Reporting directly to the Country Accounting Manager, this position requires the attention and focus on communicating quantitative and qualitative information in a clear, accurate, and timely manner to the accounting, finance and commercial teams.
Plan budgets and track indirect customer rebate programs
Process invoices for payments in addition to receiving and verifying discount invoices
Calculate and ensure appropriate monthly accruals and tracking of open balances
Manage the data flow of discount recognition, including monitoring volume and claim files have been loaded correctly
Identify and investigate discrepancies between calculated discounts against what is claimed by customers
Create and reconcile monthly financial data and create required reports
Coordinate discount account analysis and reconciliations
Other ad-hoc duties may also be required to help support the local accounting team
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related area and have experience working in accounting with relevant qualifications. Previous experience in wine/spirits or luxury FMCG industries is preferable.
