Meaningful Work From Day One
This exciting role of Rebates & Pricing Analyst based in London has the responsibility for facilitating, coordinating financial accounting, reporting, and analytical activities with regards to UK Customer Rebates. Reporting directly to the Country Accounting Manager, this position requires the attention and focus on communicating quantitative and qualitative information in a clear, accurate, and timely manner to the accounting, finance and commercial teams.
This is a 12 month fixed-term contract that may go permanent.
What You Can Expect:
Tracking of customer rebate programs. Calculation and ensuring appropriate monthly accruals are in place in IT systems (SAP & BW)
Setting up customer prices in SAP post review by Pricing and Rebates Manager
Supporting pricing & rebates related IT projects
Collaborating with Sales Operations & National Account Managers to ensure that IT tool (KAMS) is reflecting the correct data
Collaborating with Finance, before month end in Strip Net Sales review meetings to ensure that accrual numbers are correctly reflected/calculated
Process invoices/chargebacks for payment
Receive and verify discount invoices
Discount account analysis and reconciliations
Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
Manage the data flow of discount recognition, including monitoring volume and claim files have been loaded correctly
Identify & investigate discrepancies between calculated discounts against what is claimed by customers
Support the monthly closing activities following US GAAP as well as UK GAAP
Support the development of reporting tools required for recognition & analysis of discounts
What You Bring To The Table:
Experience in accounting and/or rebates
Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or other relevant discipline
Proven understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable
Experience with maintenance of general ledgers
Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts and with diverse cultures
Great analytical skills, commercially savvy and solution focused to solving problems
Excellent presentation skills and translating financial information in a clear, concise and visually appealing way
Self-starter with proven ability to identify issues and projects, plan and prioritize with demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects to completion by specific deadlines
Excellent communication skills (influencing, listening, presentations, written)
Preferred Experience
- Prior Experience in wine and spirits or luxury FMCG industries
