Meaningful Work From Day One
The Jack Daniel’s Flavors Senior Brand Manager is responsible for managing the profitable growth of the Jack Daniel’s Flavors portfolio for the UK market. This includes Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple.
The UK is a key market for the Jack Daniel’s flavors portfolio globally, as it’s the 1st export market for both JDTH and JDTF in volume terms. It’s also now the second biggest market for the recently launched Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple, behind the US.
What You Can Expect:
Manage for profitable growth / Commercial management
Ownership of the brand’s P&L.
- Monitor brand performance against sales forecasts. Determine corrective actions where necessary in conjunction with Sales and Customer Marketing counterparts.
A&P management and optimization
Spend time in trade to understand practical implementations of all marketing activities.
Responsible for delivering post-evaluations of all brand-led spend across the portfolio, reviewing short and long term impact against agreed KPIs.
Develop & execute UK brand / Innovation plans
In collaboration with the Head of Marketing and the UK cross functional teams, lead the annual Brand Business Plan process to deliver 3 years Top Line and Profit growth ambition.
Ensure key consumer occasions are identified, rooted in Demand Landscape, sources of growth are quantified, brand strategies are clearly articulated and answering / delivering against opportunity or challenge presented.
With the support of BBI, identify local NPD opportunities, rooted in consumer insights, and category driver(s). Evaluate and size opportunity for the UK market, in collaboration with the category team.
Responsible for defining the “go to market” plan for any future global launches, working closely with Customer Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, partner agencies to guarantee flawless roll out in stores with the right pipe fill, dedicated activation at launch, all aligned with optimal media push.
Brand Plans Implementation
Devise and manage brand campaigns in line with local agreed brand strategy.
Lead the briefing, development and implementation of any local brand creative, or global creative adaptation working with the BBI team to ensure Apollo alignment.
People management and development
Manage, Coach and Develop the Jack Daniel’s Flavors Junior BM.
Make sure Personal Development plan is in place, regularly reviewed. Coach on the day to day job, and provide opportunities to stretch, learn and grow by empowering Junior BM with leadership of a selection of projects (possibly the lead on Fire).
- Be the Global Brand Team interface. Influence global creative assets development so they are fit for purpose for the UK.
We Are Looking For People Who Have:
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business or equivalent experience
Proven track record of successfully delivering brand growth in a highly competitive environment.
Previous experience of leading multiple agencies and cross-functional teams.
Previous experience of managing digital campaigns.
Commercial acumen, P&L literate
Previous line manager experience
