Brown-Forman Senior Brand Manager Jack Daniel’s Super Premiums in London, United Kingdom

Meaningful Work From Day One

The Jack Daniel’s Super Premium Brand Manager is responsible for managing the profitable growth of the Jack Daniel’s Super Premium portfolio for the UK market. This includes Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye, Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel and Gentleman Jack and any future premium innovations. The Jack Daniel’s Super Premium Portfolio has been identified as a key growth driver mid-term for the European Region.

He/she may manage an intern to support him/her across the portfolio, depending on workload and opportunities. He/she will report directly to the Head of Jack Daniel’s, UK.

What You Can Expect:

Manage for profitable growth / Commercial Management

Ownership of the brand’s P&L.

  • Monitor brand performance against sales forecasts. Determine corrective actions where necessary in conjunction with Sales and Customer Marketing counterparts.

  • In conjunction with BBI, Sales and Customer Marketing teams, understand & review market landscape (category, consumer, shopper) to better inform the context behind brand’s performance and highlight and scope out future growth opportunities through the MBP process.

A&P management and optimization

  • Spend time in trade to understand practical implementations of all marketing activities.

  • Responsible for delivering post-evaluations of all brand-led spend across the portfolio, reviewing short and long term impact against agreed KPIs. Ensure post-evaluations of all trade marketing led activities are taking place, and learnings are captured and implemented in next activities to develop highly visible and efficient activations.

Develop & execute UK Brand / Innovation Plans

Planning

  • In collaboration with the Head of Marketing and the UK cross functional teams, lead the annual Brand Business Plan process to deliver 3 years Top Line and Profit growth ambition.

  • Ensure key consumer occasions are identified, rooted in Demand Landscape, sources of growth are quantified, brand strategies are clearly articulated and answering / delivering against opportunity or challenge presented.

Planning Innovation & gifting

  • Seek continuous inspiration of lifestyle and premium brands, to inform and strengthen premiumness of gifting offering for the UK.

  • With the support of BBI, identify local NPD or gifting opportunity, rooted in consumer insights and/or identified category opportunity. Evaluate and size opportunity for the UK market, in collaboration with the category team.

Brand Plans Implementation

  • Strive to elevate the premiumness of the marketing activities implemented to support the SP portfolio to create truly aspirational brands. Demonstrate curiosity and regularly review how premium brands outside the spirits category present themselves to consumers in the UK.

  • Lead the briefing, development and implementation of any local brand creative, or global creative adaptation working with the BBI team to ensure Apollo alignment.

People development and management

  • Opportunity to manage and coach an intern - not continuous

  • Lead by example and embrace B-F values through a diverse and inclusive culture where different perspectives are encouraged, and individuals feel connected and valued

Organisational networking

  • Be the Global Brand Team interface. Influence global creative assets development so they are fit for purpose for the UK.

  • Be the Jack Daniel’s representative of the UK marketing in the SP DE council.

We Are Looking For People Who Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent experience

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering brand growth in a highly competitive environment.

  • Previous experience of leading multiple agencies and cross-functional teams.

  • Previous experience of managing digital campaigns.

  • Commercial acumen, P&L literate

  • Strong affinity with premium brands
