Reports To: Senior Brand and Integration Manager
All B-F Marketers will be expected to be leaders in building “best in class” brands, marketing programs and capabilities and to drive the Corporate, USA & Canada and Marketing 150 strategies. For marketing, all managers need to superbly deliver against 4 key strategic goals: 1) Captivate the Consumer, 2) Innovate Across all Touchpoints, 3) Leverage and Strengthen the Portfolio, and 4) Make it Easy to Buy and Sell our Brands. Also, leaders must model the 5 key differentiating capabilities: 1) BIG IDEAS – punch beyond our weight, 2) Consumer Understanding and Targeting, 3) Digital Marketing, 4) Design Excellence, 5) Analysis and Diagnostics.
This role is responsible for leading the development and activation of the brand advocacy program for the Tequila portfolio for the USA & Canada. This position will represent the Brown- Forman Tequila Portfolio as Brand Ambassador. The Brown-Forman Tequila Portfolio includes both Tequila Herradura portfolio and the el Jimador tequila brands.
Develop a fully comprehensive advocacy program for the tequila portfolio which provides education, engages and enables B-F employees, distributor personnel, trade partners and target consumers to serve as our brand advocates.
Externally: Tequila Bloggers, Media Partners, Paid Endorsers, Celebrity Outreach
Internally: Field Marketing, Distributor Partners, B-F team
Consumers: Homeplace visits, Experiential visitors, social media and consumer loyalist
Trade: BTB Customers, Store Personnel, Bartenders, Wait-Staff.
Serve as a Brand Ambassador in large tequila tasting events, brand education among internal and external partners and Public Relations.
Partner with Field Marketing Managers to support their plans across key markets.
Develop relationships with key influencers and trade toward endorsing the tequila brands.
Menu developments with regional and national account partners.
Education/Experience: B.A. plus 4+ years marketing and/or sales experience in a consumer goods environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present effectively to all audience sizes.
Strong presentation skills.
Extensive knowledge and ability to educate others on the tequila category, B-F tequila brands and Casa Herradura production and history.
Spirits/ Bev Alcohol industry experience preferred.
Experience in managing and collaborating effectively with outside agency partners.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative “big ideas” that grow brands.
Ability and willingness to travel 50-65% of the time, including some weekends.
