Brown-Forman Armed Security Officer in Louisville, Kentucky
Why Does This Job Exist?
The Brown-Forman team of Security Officers is responsible for 24-hour physical security of B-F Corporate Campus with full capability to monitor other B-F sites. Through physical observation, video surveillance, and visitor check points, the officers are responsible for monitoring and responding to any security threat.
What You Can Expect:
Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas
Ensure all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing buildings (ID badges and passes)
Monitor Security Cameras, Fire Alarms and News Media
Communicate with First Responders in emergency situations
Initiate PA Messages across campus
Patrol designated areas in accordance with Security Procedures (Interior and Exterior)
Issue Hot Work Permits
Respond to medical emergencies (Basic First Aid, AED Training)
Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed
What Exactly Are We Looking For?
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 8 years experience in security and/or law enforcement
Ability to work various shifts, weekends and/or nights
Valid driver's license and qualifications to operate a motor vehicle
Ability to pass all physical requirements and skill based testing
Strong communication skills
Good computer skills
What Will Set You Apart:
Experience in security
Associate degree and/or specialized security training
Fire and/or loss control experience, EMT, or CPR certification
Schedule : This is an hourly position with a 40 hour work week. The starting shift will be Swing Shift. Scheduled shifts go through a bid process every 6 months and it is based on seniority.
