The Consumer and Shopper Insights (CSI) team exists to answer the biggest growth questions of the business. We do this through collaboration and synthesis of consumer, shopper, retail, brand & category insights which drive better brand and business decision making. Within the CSI team, the Consumer Insights Analyst will act as support to the Emerging Consumer Trends & Digital Insights Manager, with leadership opportunities on key projects, in the largest market, U.S./Canada.
This role will support an insights area that is specifically focused on new developments in our industry, continuous exploration, and creative problem solving. It will allow for an entrepreneurial mindset, and will demand agility and flexibility in meeting various business needs.
The Consumer and Shopper Insights team are based at our headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky.
What You Can Expect:
Support the Emerging Consumer Trends & Digital Insights Manager’s initiatives & own a leadership role on key projects
Monitor and identify industry relevant emerging consumer trends via internally developed digital tools and external research partnerships
Continuous advancement of resources and stakeholder support for the rapidly growing ePremise channel
Champion expertise in using digital intelligence tools and the opportunities they present in solving for business questions and needs across all B-F brands
Contribute to research projects that seek to understand emerging business areas
Build and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization focused on the above areas of focus
- Responsible for development of reports and presentation of key insights and learnings as needed. This could be internally at the brand, commercial or broader insights level, as well as externally with distributor or retailer contacts.
Develop an expertise in usage of research analytics tools with the intent of being able to connect the dots across various pieces of information to identify implications for the business. This would include:
Shopper tools such as Numerator, Technomic, Datassential, and Nielsen CGA & Spectra
Consumer metrics via our Brandtrack survey, as well as contributing to the sharing of insights across the organization via the CSI chatter page and management of knowledge zones within the Insight Intelligence Hub
Participation and assistance in the facilitation of annual brand strategy & ideation sessions
Support in the planning and execution of our annual Consumer Day event, as well as other potential marketing and insights meetings & events that showcase the latest data relevant to business and brand planning
Willingness to partner and provide support in team-wide projects as stretch opportunities for professional development
Proactive in professional self-development via workshops, webinars, training, etc, inclusive of Diversity & Inclusion initiatives
What Exactly Are We Looking For?
A Bachelor’s Degree with 2 to 4 years of experience in either consumer/shopper insights, data analysis & storytelling; bonus if prior experience working in bev/al
Experience with digital marketing &/or eCommerce, and social listening
Prior experience in working with datasets and an understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods and outputs
Understanding of data management & visualization tools such as Tableau or Google Data Studio
Capable of reviewing data and pulling out key insights with a high degree of objectivity, allowing the data tell the story
A natural ability to connect the dots between various data points and connect them into a report that demonstrates skills in data storytelling, inclusive of the what, so what, and now what summary
Ability to flex and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Comfortable presenting to both large and small groups on occasion
Has the analytical capabilities to identify issues/ opportunities, gather data from multiple sources.
Able to join the dots from various sources of information, tell a story, and make actionable recommendations.
Interested in continuous learning and development, with a zeal for new knowledge and experiences.
