Brown-Forman Global Business Operations Analyst (Temporary Position) in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Description:

This is a temporary position through Brown-Forman’s Reserve Power Department.

SCOPE:

The Temporary Global Business Operations Analyst primary responsibilities include operations support and implementation of departmental initiatives and projects. The analyst assists the manager with research, requirements gathering, testing, configuration, change management, and supports other project management components. The analyst plays a critical role in implementation of department initiatives as well as continued operational support. In addition, the analyst continues to monitor operations from a corporate oversight, governance, and systems perspective. This monitoring includes being a liaison to the international partners for training, problem solving, and daily operations management.

The analyst also provides accounting and process support for the current company-wide payroll system of record, Workday/global payroll aggregator. This analyst routinely completes month-end close, year-end close, and reconciliation duties. This analyst is responsible for executing the BTG Sarbanes-Oxley audit compliance reviews and improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Complete Sarbanes-Oxley reviews monthly to ensure that company-wide international HR/payroll administrators make only approved payroll related changes to their own records in Workday

● Analyst supports key cross functional departmental initiatives and operational processes within the business transactions team

● Development and management of the monthly Business Transactions Group report card distributed to senior leaders, data to be sourced from the newly developed ticketing system for payroll, invoice, and expense processing used by all employees. Accurately track and report the data found within the ticketing tool. Analyzing issues driving inquiries, providing a path to root cause resolution, and escalating issues through the appropriate channels

● Utilizes planning, budgeting, forecasting and data analysis techniques to manage both departmental and project budgets and assesses the impact of financial decisions encompassing labor, project, fixed asset, and other expenditures within the fiscal year. Completes routine reconciliations of the department and project budgets. Completes reclass entries and monitors the ledger to ensure accurate expense is captured within the two departmental cost centers.

● Developing and updating documentation for business process flows and workflows

● Analyst plays a key role in establishing requirements, data gathering, data analysis, creation of presentations to leadership and team members, collaborating with internal business partners globally, recommending strategies based on analysis and knowledge, implementing solutions and structure in accordance with requirements.

● Assist with discovery, implementation, data testing, and execute roll-out of global process improvement projects. Analyst would support project tasks related to payroll integration implementation, payroll processing, bank and GL file development, Workday integration development, and vendor governance. Assist with the research, analysis, identification, design, and facilitation of process and system improvements, including clear analysis of processes, procedures, and recommendations for improvements while leveraging internal data infrastructure to create and support control processes, data enhancement initiatives, management reporting, and control implementation.

● System scope includes Salesforce, SAP, Workday HCM, global payroll systems, expense processing, invoice processing, Smartsheets, Tableau, and Access reporting databases.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

● Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word applications.

● Work independently and complete tasks with planning and organization in a high volume, deadline-oriented environment.

● Ability to present information to small working groups during meetings or larger groups in presentations.

● Perform work with accuracy and attention to detail amidst frequent interruptions.

● Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work on various tasks and competing priorities. Organized with an ability to establish priorities for multiple projects.

● Maintain confidentiality of all payroll data. Ensure information is provided only to authorized individuals.

● Strong problem solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis, to identify, research, and resolve complex business situations, and to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the global business internally and externally.

● Work flexible schedule and extended hours when necessary.

● Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally, but will vary depending on project work.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

●3-5 year of experience in a financial or accounting related position.

Prior experience with functional areas of SAP.

● Prior experience with Workday payroll (and/or global payroll), time, and absence modules, or other cloud

based HCM tool.

● Proficiency in Google G Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
