Brown-Forman Global Marketing Director, B-F Way of Brand Building-Location, USA (Access to a Brown-Forman Office preferred) in Louisville, Kentucky
This role will provide thought leadership, direction and drive best in class strategic thinking in developing, publishing and training the organization on the B-F Way of Brand Building with the aim to build this capability as a competitive advantage.
This individual will be tasked with taking a significant leadership position in guiding our brand building practice, and as such will demonstrate a voracious curiosity combined with impeccable collaboration and stakeholder management skills. She/he will be expected to guide the organization through the rapidly evolving marketing science, and combine that with their inherent knowledge of what has led Brown-Forman to build global iconic brands over many years in order to optimize future growth.
This role will also lead the progress of embedding and leveraging the Marketing Capabilities framework, working closely with the B-F Way of Brand Building Brand Partner.
Lead development of the Brown-Forman Way of Brand Building program
Bring innovative thinking and best in class approaches to develop a comprehensive guide for world class brand building in Brown-Forman.
Unite, build and communicate the program overall so it is recognized and utilized as a clear driver of competitive advantage for Brown-Forman
Map out a content strategy – evaluating key areas of focus including key skill gap areas that need to be addressed and building a roadmap for content development
Engage a motivated team across the organization to develop content, bringing the best of our collective thinking and frameworks together (e.g. Archetyping, Apollo, Consumer Decision Journey , Consumer Targeting etc.)
Work with a high-value add agency or internal resources to develop and publish engaging and highly functional output (considering both paper and online delivery formats)
Stay current on advances in the practice of marketing and refresh content as appropriate
Work closely with B-F Way of Brand Building Partner to embed the B-F Way throughout marketing organization
Develop a communication plan to(re)introduce the B-F Way to the organization
Develop holistic training roll out plans
Develop our team of global Marketing Capabilities Champions and inspire continual engagement
Lead the adoption and effective use of the Marketing Capabilities Framework
With the B-F Way of Brand Building Partner ,ensure Framework is kept current and updated to reflect the evolving marketing landscape
With the B-F Way of Brand Building Partner develop a plan for implementation across all marketing teams globally and regionally
Provide championship for the use of Marketing Capabilities in goal setting, development plans, PGP discussions and succession planning, working closely with HR and People Development.
Must Require m ents:
In depth theoretical and technical knowledge of Marketing, Marketing Science and Brands
Considerable successful, progressive marketing experience (12+ years) in consumer goods environment
Successful track record across the marketing mix
Strong leadership skills – managing a team as well as proven ability to “influence without authority”
Experience managing external agencies
Strong project management experience
Exceptional Stakeholder management and alignment skills

Be a champion of people, of brand building, and of these programs
Masters Degree in Business, Marketing or similar discipline
Beverage industry experience
Significant Brown-Forman experience with the ability to quickly ramp up and leverage internal partnerships
Multi-market experience, with the ability to understand and navigate the complexities of building brands in different cultures, levels of market development, and business structures
