Brown-Forman Global Supply Chain Specialist in Louisville, Kentucky
Manage, facilitate and coordinate all order and invoice related activities for all purchase orders and stock transports for assigned BFB markets in a predominately paperless environment.
Primary liaison between customers, supply chain integration, Linkage group, production sites (BF owned, contract bottlers and contract manufacturing customers), foreign suppliers, outside warehouses, shipping, logistics/transportation personnel, freight forwarders, IT, BFS Sales and Marketing, Finance, Legal, Tax and Credit to analyze and develop a contingency plan for any order, production and or shipping issues.
Responsible for accurate, complete and timely management of customer orders for assigned markets by managing the entire life cycle from order to cash.
Support BF Supply Chain Initiatives and department metrics and offer improvements where gaps exist.
Key liaison with internal and external customers, field sales, production sites, co-packers, logistics, pricing, common processes, external manufacturing, contract manufacturing, and shipping/warehousing personnel to support supply chain business strategy.
Coordinates the introduction of new products and/or package or proof changes with customers in assigned markets.
Ensure electronic data interchange of customers purchase orders flow smoothly into BF SAP System. This includes timely set-up of data tables, provide accurate information to the customer for their table set-ups to keep work-flow errors to a minimum.
Prepares proforma invoices for bank drafts, letters of credit or cash advance customers, as well as those applying for import licenses.
Ensures orders are in compliance with Letter of Credit requirements, published pricing and established incoterms with regards to buyers and sellers responsibilities.
Performs shipment verification activities for designated warehouse locations.
Manages and coordinates all special Customs documents, for clearance of shipments to be compliant with US and foreign government regulations.
Manages the research and resolution of customer order discrepancies withwarehouse or production personnel via SAP QM Module.
Manages the reconciliation of government required Tax Stamps and internal control reports back to the customer.
Monitors product allocations (seasonal gift packages, new product launches, etc) versus quantities-ordered using Allocation Tracking program and SAP R3 to assure customers stay within established guidelines.
Collaborates across multiple shipping facilities to consolidate POS and finished goods shipments.
Responsible for maintaining current customer information profiles on regulatory requirements, carrier routings, product specifications, special instructions, etc.Analyze SAP, BW track and trace reports to solve problems related to the current status of open orders, orders needing to be expedited, or orders that may need to be traced while in transit.
Analyze order patterns of assigned markets for process improvements (order smoothing, maximum load shipments, review customer inventory-for rush order requests, etc).
Manages special assignments as required, such as ad hoc reporting.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the role.
Required Experience & Education:
Bachelor Degree with general business or supply chain related experience; or 2-4 years of combined education and experience.
Demonstrated understanding of basic principles of Logistics and Distribution.
Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with internal/external customers and all global contacts.
Ability to effectively handle confidential information and materials.
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to apply logical assumptions.
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, supply chain procedures and processes.
Independently manage, plan and organize, workload within established deadlines in a team-oriented, high-volume, high-stress environment.
Strong technical aptitude utilizing operational support software including but not limited to SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, Business Warehouse, Google, etc.
Ability to handle detailed information and ambiguous information with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet demands of the role.
