Brown-Forman Manager Diversity and Inclusion in Louisville, Kentucky

The Manager of Diversity and Inclusion is responsible for advancing strategic diversity management at Brown-Forman by recommending, developing and managing diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives. The Manager will work closely with Diversity Councils and Employee Resource Groups, HR Staff and business leaders across the organization to ensure initiatives, resources and tools are effectively leveraged to drive business results and to ensure an inclusive and diverse associate population that align and support the organization goals.

Responsibilities:

Leads Diversity and Inclusion Engagement: 40%

  • Partners with management and employees to execute diversity practices and initiatives in support of workforce/workplace markets/brands, supplier and community goals.

  • Recognizes and respond to regional and local diversity needs, issues and initiatives with appropriate diversity and inclusion tools, strategic assessments, best practices and benchmarking to support the needs of the organization

  • Manages processes and systems which hold leaders accountable for their support, implementation and eventual ownership of Diversity and Inclusion in their divisions and departments.

  • Coaches Managers and employees in effectively implementing diversity practices and initiatives.

  • Identifies areas of opportunity, develops recommended courses of action, secures approval and drives implementation of recommendations.

  • Defines and deploys diversity measures, programs, practices and process changes to ensure the success of diversity and inclusion strategies at Brown-Forman.

  • Implements and manages policies and programs to enhance Brown-Forman’s work environment to be inclusive of all employees.

  • Builds the capability of Diversity and Inclusion Leaders and HR Staff to deliver support to their clients related to diversity and inclusion programs and issues.

  • Builds relationships and provides expert counseling to various client/groups. Enhances and maintains management commitment through building awareness for the business case of diversity and inclusion, ensuring basic conceptual clarity about diversity and inclusion.

  • Partners with HR to provide candidate sourcing recommendations to build pipeline of qualified minority, female and other protected- class applicants resulting in increased hiring of women and minorities

  • Collaborates with Global Talent Acquisition’s corporate wide diversity sourcing strategy that maximizes client relations in colleges and universities.

  • Works closely with the HR management team to ensure that all HR policies and practices fully integrate diversity and inclusion.

  • Advisor to Diversity Councils and ERGs. Establishes and maintain relationships with Diversity Councils and Employee Resource Groups to support talent acquisition, retention and innovation and creativity efforts.

Designs and Delivers Diversity and Inclusion Curriculum: 35%

  • Develops diversity and inclusion educational curriculum, strategies and tools to ensure the effectiveness and alignment to the overall diversity and inclusion strategic platform.

  • Facilitates workplace education programs whose purpose is to achieve cultural sensitivity and awareness and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.

  • Continually identifies barriers to the success of the strategic diversity management process. Develops educational strategies and initiatives to address these barriers. Assesses opportunities to link diversity with ongoing business and HR processes and initiatives.

Develops and Utilizes Diversity and Inclusion Metrics: 15%

  • Works closely with HR to ensure alignment with the diversity and inclusion metrics/measures/scorecard and the Affirmative Action goals and objectives.

  • Benchmarks effectiveness of Brown-Forman’s diversity and inclusion efforts and ensures best practices are implemented by staying informed of leading diversity and inclusion trends and issues.

  • Researches and monitors internal and external diversity trends.

  • Monitors performance metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of diversity initiatives and activities.

  • Identify change management opportunities by assessing the organizational climate through employee feedback and engagement survey results, etc.

  • Compiles reports for the CDO in support of Brown-Forman’s diversity business case and strategic diversity management process.

Strategic Communication: 10%

  • Executes the diversity and inclusion communication strategy to ensure broad communication of all initiatives.

  • Implements and monitors programs/procedures in the areas of workforce diversity and ensures plans are communicated effectively to all employees.

Must Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, organizational behavior or related business discipline.

  • A minimum of 5 years of diversity and inclusion work, organizational development work within an organization required.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Masters Degree

  • Language – Bilingual (Spanish or other languages)

Salary Grade: 28
