Brown-Forman Process/Data Analyst in Louisville, Kentucky

Manages assigned master data processes and activities required to support order entry and order processing for Spirit and Wine brands worldwide. Works as a liaison within the Supply Chain to ensure that SAP master data requirements are complete and accurate to meet all Supply Chain requirements including order processing and statistical reporting.

Develops, tests and implements processes to improve master data gathering and updating in SAP for the Supply Chain requirements and Global SAP rollouts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working with the members of the Supply Chain to create SAP Material numbers and SKU Master Data required for order processing including; all SAP material master views associated with sales and distribution.

  • Develop and analyze various reports such as open orders, shipment history, inventory, listing history, pricing, and manufacturing Bills of Materials to determine market portfolio requirements for new products, package changes, line extensions, and the annual gift program.

  • Communicate and interface with SKU Administration, Field Sales (both Domestic and International), Customer Service, Packaging, Purchasing, Production, External Manufacturing Operations and Distributors in determining and maintaining accurate and complete data. Assist in SKU Rationalization and management process as required.

  • Define and manage new processes using automation to achieve improvements for master data processes and new product rollout.

  • Develop Product Information Forms (product specs) for internal and external customers as requested.

  • Support Supply Chain team on master data issues.

  • Manage SAP Master Data for Spirit and Wine brands including creating appropriate views, case specification information, and bar codes.

  • Initiate and manage the SKU set up process with Product Engineers utilizing Salesforce Workflow process.

  • Creates master data views including classification and sales views for the appropriate distribution channel to facilitate order writing.

  • Responsible for developing product codes, SKU numbers, bottle and shipper codes (UCC standards) for specific market distribution needs.

  • Maintain a repository of SKU set up instructions utilizing Microsoft OneNote.

  • Participates in the annual gift/tin program/process with the International and Domestic markets. Includes creating and setup of new gift SKUs to ensure the timely delivery of finished goods for various promotional programs throughout the year.

  • Manage gift databases to centralize communication process with various functional groups involved with the gift process.

  • Participates in new package development and planning process for new product introduction, package changes, and line extensions.

  • Performs various other duties, assignments, or special projects as requested at the direction of Supervisor. Includes inquiry requests for SKU information from customers, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing.

  • Ongoing process improvement implementations for efficiency using research and process mapping to recommend improvements.

  • Communicates product specification information to Customers, Customer Service, Field Sales and Marketing, Pricing and SKU administration.

  • Uses team and project meetings to keep the team fully aware of the progress of assigned projects and to support a team environment of continuous feedback and idea sharing.

  • Manage SKU extensions to Bailment plants, RTC markets, and other plants as necessary.

  • Perform product costing for SKUs in Bailment plants, RTC markets, and other plants as necessary.

Must Requirements:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering with 3-5 years general business experience; or 8-10 years job experience dealing with customer service, materials planning, production, technology, and operations.

  • Demonstrated high degree of understanding ERP systems.

  • Demonstrated solid understanding of technical report writing tools and extracting information for analysis.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, mathematical skills and analytical capabilities to determine the origin of data and making independent decisions from data.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft and/or Google office suites

  • Understanding and knowledge of the Supply Chain model.

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to respond timely and effectively to multiple inquiries from a variety of internal and external contacts utilizing Gmail and other modes.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with, communicate with, respect, and appreciate the diversity of our customers (internal and external)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of customer relations, distribution channels, transportation mode services to domestic and international locations.

  • Demonstrated high degree of understanding of SAP R/3 and BW.

  • Demonstrated knowledge proficiency with the SAP Sales and Distribution model.

  • Demonstrated report writing experience with ABAP Query and BW Report writers

  • Proven knowledge of the production process and multi-plant logistic operations involving high-level shipping activities plus the corresponding knowledge of customer service related activities.

  • Experience in the Wine and Spirits industry.
