Position Title: Sales Promotion Specialist
Business Area: NAR SAMIE

Reports To: Sales Promotion Group Manager
As part of the sales promotion team, works independently to administer and execute sales and consumer promotional functions in the US for the NAR Sales and Marketing Execution and Integration group (SAMIE). Assists ABM in managing Point of Sale inventory, monitoring expenses and budgets and supporting the planning and development process of both national and local programs. Provides reports and recaps of activities to the Group Manager Sales Promotion. Evaluate program results including takeaway and costs.
Performs specific administrative functions related to the production and process of all sales promotion materials for NAR Marketing. Works with a high degree of initiative, discretion and independent judgment with the ability to prioritize and complete workload in a high-volume, self-managed environment. Independently oversees inventory and promotion setup with Group Manager, ABM, Sourcing Department and agency. Responsible for overall administration of promotional budgets, resolving all financial, inventory management and administrative issues to satisfaction of all concerned. Supervises and uses authority to process and oversee receiving and shipping of all promotion materials. Serves as a key contact and liaison for internal and external resources for all matters relating to sales promotion area. Undertakes other tasks for the assigned brand teams as needed.
Using independent judgment, administers proper budgeting, planning and shipment of all promotional material. Sets up all promotions in Salesforce system ensuring promotional material is requested correctly and ships on time, at proper cost. Maintains integrity of the promotion system. (30%)
Serves as promotion liaison with internal and external resources (sales, brand management, promotion and sourcing agencies, vendors and DVD warehouse) for all stock and national promotion inventory management issues. Monitors receipt of all material into DVD, notifying Promotion and Sourcing Department of material discrepancies. (15%)
In conjunction with Promotions Manager and Sourcing Agency, monitors and analyzes promotion financial and inventory activities for assigned brands. Develops inventory and promotional analysis for all brands. Coordinates activities of Stock inventories to support the execution of the brand plans. (10%)
Assures the accuracy vs. approved specifications and proper distribution of supplier national promotion, stock invoices and custom invoices. Processing if correct and reconciling discrepancies with Promotion and Sourcing Managers and/or suppliers. (30%)
Participates in all weekly status updates with agencies and reacts to actionable items in area of responsibility. (15%)
Must have Requirements:
Education/Experience: Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (Marketing), Communications or related area and 1-3 years various in-depth experience with knowledge of marketing/advertising techniques and the ability to monitor and maintain the administrative systems associated with promotional materials development and activity or an Associate’s Degree in Business or related area and 4-6 years equivalent, related education/experiences or 7-9 years equivalent, related education/experience combination.
Demonstrated analytical/mathematical skills.
Demonstrated written communications skills; ability to compose final draft memos and project reports.
Demonstrated verbal communications skills; ability to formulate responses to detailed questions in representing company policy/practice within a function.
Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency in the use of personal computers and other promotion processing systems (SAP and Salesforce).
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting procedures, general ledger accounting system and/or budget development.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel, outside agencies and suppliers
Experience in brand management and/or marketing environment.
Knowledge of Brown-Forman distilled spirits brands.
Experience with computer networks and remote data
