Brown-Forman Senior Business Analyst- ACE in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Description:

This position serves as a member of the Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE) residing within the Data Science Group. The individual is responsible for providing analytical support to the greater Analytics Center of Excellence team with a focus on developing and communicating quantitative and qualitative analytics. This position will initially support with reporting functions for brand, commercial and corporate leadership. However, a key objective of this role is to act as a bridge between Business Analytics and Data Optimization to identify key reporting needs that need to migrate to the Tableau platform. This includes understanding the needs of the business, developing the optimal look and feel for the reports and coordinating with other areas of the organization to facilitate the production of the reports. The successful candidate will help develop and support brand analytics within ACE and facilitate the implementation of reporting of brand analytics to the greater organization through the Tableau platform.

PRIMARY Responsibilities:

  • Support Business Analytics Managers/Directors within ACE with quantitative and qualitative analytics around strategic opportunities in areas such as portfolio expansion & strategy, geography expansion, pricing strategy, resource allocation recommendations, demand planning, competitive analysis, and innovation.

  • Analyze and develop reporting on financial performance of brands and markets and use this information to develop performance insights.

  • Develop monthly financial reporting & analysis activities.

  • Utilize technology, including Brown Forman systems (Business Warehouse, Tableau and SAP), to retrieve, display, input, gather, produce, and analyze financial information.

  • Provide Business Analytics Managers/Directors with economic, competitive, industry and financial evaluations in support of the projects being executed and the longer-term strategic planning process.

  • Identify data required for reporting and develop the look and feel of reporting needed by the business.

  • Work with Data Optimization to facilitate the migration of ad hoc reporting to the Tableau environment by acting as a bridge between the business and technical support.

MUST REQUIREMENTS :

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related degree with four or more years of accounting and/or finance experience, or a related education/experience combination.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in financial modeling and analysis.

  • Demonstrated understanding and familiarity with the Tableau reporting and analytical platform

  • A proven desire to improve processes and adapts well to an ever-changing and sometimes ambiguous environment.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel.

  • Demonstrated ability and desire to work in a team environment.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly discuss business issues and translate into financial insights and action plans.

  • Strong financial and analytical abilities with the ability to collect, analyze, and present results in a concise format.

  • The ability to effectively handle confidential information and materials.

  • The ability to work independently and execute responsibilities, at times in a heavy workload, deadline oriented environment; the willingness and ability to organize, implement, and complete multiple tasks with limited direction; can maintain accurate documentation and perform quality work with accuracy and attention to detail.

REFERRED REQUIREMENTS :

  • MBA or other advanced business degree.

  • Experience in the beverage alcohol industry.
