What You Will Do in This Role
This position is responsible for oversight and performance of varied areas of financial analysis, commercial analysis, and reporting for the Region including one or all of the following: standard monthly management reporting and variance analyses, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
Partners with region, USA&C and ACT personnel on financial activities in support of Regional growth and financial compliance. Will work closely with teams to look for ways to standardize Regional processes, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
What You Will Experience
Support the monthly business performance reviews, assisting in uncovering insights and highlighting financial opportunities and risks.
Responsible for monthly discounting accruals for the Region. Support Finance Managers with reconciliation of detailed discounting trackers against reported financial results.
Responsible for the monthly closing process for the Region, including preparation of all journal entries, review of preliminary P&L results, and identification/communication of potential financial issues to Region leadership.
Responsible for the monthly depletion flash process, including collection and consolidation of data, as well as reporting and analysis of results.
Responsible for brand expense planning/budget management. Works to improve level of transparency by coaching Region teams on proper coding of invoices, usage of activity planners, tracking of committed spend items, etc.
Depending on state by state resources, leads or assists with planning and reconciliation of distributor investment funds. Tracks to make sure we are compliant with the DIF guidelines and agreement deadlines.
Responsible for SG&A planning/budget management. Allocates available SG&A funds by position, reviews and analyzes progress vs. plan, and communicates and resolves potential issues with Region personnel.
Support Region planning and projection processes overall. Help create necessary tools, consolidate inputs and submit results to USA&C Finance. Depending on Regional resources, may be responsible for Regional coordination of national promotions and gift planning processes.
Coordinate timelines and deliverables of USA&C Planning Calendar with Regional Team.
Serve as region expert and main contact with ACT on financial policies, capital planning, nexus surveys, etc.
Ensures financial controls for the Region are met and identifies required controls for new business processes and transactions.
Execute against Region-Wide Analysis Priorities. As required, develop meaningful ad hoc analyses designed to further the Region’s performance. Participate in special projects as requested.
Leads overall Spend Management for the Region.
Coaches matrix report, Spend Management Specialist, through MRM management and regional marketing spend analysis.
What Exactly Are We Looking For ?
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting plus at least 5 years relevant work experience; or 5 to 7 years equivalent education/related work experience.
Demonstrated ability to independently prepare financial analysis with accuracy and within an established time frame.
Ability to communicate complex issues in a concise, clear manner.
Strong organizational skills. Ability to independently plan and prioritize multiple diverse work projects within the department.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts.
Demonstrated ability and knowledge of various software packages, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, BW, SAP and Google.
Personal honesty and integrity.
Strong work ethic with ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to meet deadlines.
