Brown-Forman Senior Global Brand Manager - Tequila Brands in Louisville, Kentucky
All B-F Marketers are expected to be leaders in building “best in class” brands and marketing programs that align with Brown-Forman’s corporate, Global marketing strategies. For marketing, all managers must have or develop an acumen for eight key capabilities;
Identifying consumer and brand insights that lead to growth,
Developing strategies that capitalize on brand opportunities,
Creating brand and portfolio architectures that exceed consumer/shopper needs and build equity,
Driving business results in the near and long-term,
Developing new products that deepen engagement and create competitive advantage,
Crafting brand communications that deepen relations between consumers/shoppers and our brands,
Building integrated digital marketing strategies that drive business value, and
Winning at the POP/POC to drive purchase intent.
This role is responsible for leading el Jimador, Tequila Herradura and New Mix brand strategy and development outside of the US and Mexico as well as leading the Modern Media team for best in class media planning and execution, global innovation, marketing tool-kit development and the primary contact for global agencies of record for creative development reporting to the Managing Director Tequila Brands. This role will manage and motivate a team of three direct reports including the Global Brand Associate and the Tequilas Modern Media team.
Develop and implement short and long-term brand strategies in key ROW markets.
Analyze financial and business performance to ensure brand objectives are met.
Develop robust marketing plans based on strong business diagnostics and actionable insights.
Develop a global portfolio strategy including product innovation to capture untapped consumer growth opportunities.
Develop global brand strategies and brand equity standards for tequila portfolio that aligns with market needs.
Share best practices across regions.
Collaborate with multiple internal and external contacts including, PR, regional marketing, sales, production, packaging and design and agencies to effectively develop and execute key initiatives.
Provide brand activation tool-kits that support global programs.
Assist Managing Director and Regions in developing annual brand plans.
Assist Modern Media team and regions in creative development needs.
Primary contact for global agencies of record.
Manage the talent development for three direct reports including a Global Brand Associate and two Modern Media Brand Associates.
B.A. plus 7+ years marketing in a consumer goods environment.
Demonstrated experience in developing, executing and managing brand plans.
Strong verbal and written communicator.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to operate effectively in a collaborative matrix.
Experience working with and managing outside agencies (POS, advertising...)
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative “big ideas” that grow brands.
Strong analytic skills and the ability to turn “insights to actions”.
Strong results orientation, with a track record of superior financial performance.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally 25-30% of the time, including some weekends.
Spirits/ Bev Alc industry experience.
Previous international marketing experience.
Fluent in Spanish language.
Salary Grade: 32 4A (US)
Location: Position will be based in the B-F Headquarters office located in Louisville, KY USA or in our Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico office . Relocation assistance to the area may be provided as necessary.
