Brown-Forman Temporary Maintenance Inventory Administrator in Louisville, Kentucky

Description The Maintenance Inventory Administrator will be responsible for the management of parts and inventory control for the Maintenance Department at Brown-Forman Bottling. This individual will be responsible for ordering, receiving, quality checking, stocking, organizing, and inventorying all parts, materials, and supplies for equipment maintenance and project work. Additional responsibilities include new item initialization, OEM conversion, new equipment spare parts administration, and chemical inventory and SDS administration.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. Tentative duration is 6-9 months.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain an inventory control system in order to maintain an accurate storeroom inventory of spare parts, chemicals, consumables, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).

  • Contact suppliers to obtain quotes for needed items.

  • Generate requisitions in Coupa and monitor status to ensure they are issued to suppliers.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and Central Receiving to track delivery of purchased items.

  • Receive purchased goods against Coupa orders and stocks these items on shelves and other various locations in the storeroom.

  • Monitor performance of VMI vendors and ensure accurate invoicing.

  • Ensure proper chemical storage and adherence to SDS requirements.

  • Develop, create, and run eMaint reports for inventory and usage.

  • Audit items in eMaint inventory and correct physical locations and other inaccuracies.

  • Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile actual to eMaint inventory.

  • Physically remove obsolete inventory and electronically remove in eMaint.

  • Support new equipment installation by determining required spare parts, identifying existing like inventory, establishing min/max levels, and entering new items in eMaint (CMMS).

  • Reduce equipment downtime by maintaining correct stock quantities and determining min/max levels based on equipment and usage.

  • Support maintenance technicians by pre-kitting parts for planned work orders.

  • Assist other Maintenance personnel in locating and/or requesting items needed for jobs.

  • On an emergency basis, expedite needed parts, supplies, and material. May also pick up and deliver these items.

  • Ongoing communication with Maintenance/Operations to ensure efficient operation of facility and to provide updates on inventories.

  • Clean, sweep, and organize store room to make inventory items easier to locate

  • Interface with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization

  • Be an active participant in Safety, Housekeeping & Sanitation, Quality, and Process Improvement initiatives.

  • Keep detailed records and manipulate data accurately.

  • Assemble and label racks/cabinets with locations and item part numbers.

Must Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in industrial equipment parts inventory and/or maintenance organization

  • Self-motivated with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Coupa and eMaint

  • Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
