Brown-Forman Temporary Payroll Analyst in Louisville, Kentucky

This is a temporary position that is approved for up to one year.

Support the Americas payroll in-house process function assisting with needed departmental activities to include: analysis, uploads, and assist with in-house payroll processing. This includes supporting in-house payroll processing activities as well as outsourced payroll.

Basic Function:

Analyst serves as primary support for in-house and outsourced payroll processes within the GBS-Payroll Department-Americas. Primary responsibilities will be to assist in supporting internal processes including: analysis of data, processing activities, and customer service. Projects may include assistance with projects for HR activities including software upgrades/testing, enrollment, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support key activities within the department to assist with payroll processing (monthly, weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly).

  • Key activities may include: research, analysis of data, presentation development, process diagrams, etc.

  • Provide assistance as needed. This will include some administrative work for day to day activities.

  • Expertise with Excel and other technology software to perform analysis.

  • Work with departmental technology/systems to assist with processing activities, analytical information, help with analysis, testing and reporting.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks associated with payroll.

  • Communicate with others with respect. This includes all verbal and oral communications with management, co-workers, and all contacts both within and outside of Brown-Forman.

  • Act primarily in an observational role in all internal and external meetings unless specifically noted by management.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in Business, HR, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or related field

  • Proficient knowledge in Word, PowerPoint, and Google Office tools (docs, drive, sheets, slides)

  • Intermediate expertise in Excel (working with pivot tables, vlookups, sheet functions, etc.)

  • Ability to work in self-managed environment with high degree of initiative and integrity

  • Commitment and adherence to tight deadlines

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, ability to effectively communicate to a variety of audiences

  • Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationship with Information System’s staff and managers and with other employees and managers across Brown-Forman

  • Willingness to work extended or off-hours to meet payroll deadlines

  • Time management skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related

  • Experience working within a corporate environment

  • Strong technical aptitude

  • Research abilities

  • Adaptability

  • Desire to learn and develop professionally
