Brown-Forman Receiving Utility Offshift 2nd or 3rd Class A CDL in Lynchburg, Tennessee
Position Responsibilities: Monitors and maintains inventory and shipments of supplies for the bottling operations. Performs all duties in a natural work team structure. Ensures all bottling lines are provided with the appropriate supplies and materials for each production order. Transports materials to appropriate departments or locations. Monitors delivery schedules and notifies proper personnel of alterations according to procedures. Independently decides performance of most tasks based on needed demand by internal customers and agreed upon assignments of team. Minimum supervision is provided since job responsibilities require this position to perform throughout the physical plant location. Communicates with members of other teams, team leaders and management in various departments. Occasionally communicates with outside vendors. Operates an over the road tractor/trailer. Operates tow-motor to transport materials, and supply depalletizer with bottles for daily bottling needs. Consults daily lineup sheet to ascertain materials or correct cases needed. Call manufacturers to release supplies and materials needed. Informs appropriate personnel of needed supplies. Transports materials to appropriate bottling lines. Visually inspects bottling lines for leftover materials. Returns leftover materials to proper storage areas. Utilizes SAP to ensure the proper supplies are available to each line and adjust inventory counts after reconciliation. Informs appropriate personnel of incorrect specification. Manually counts supplies. Updates inventory as necessary. Informs appropriate personnel of inventory discrepancies. Arrange shipments of materials/bottles to appropriate location. Loads materials/bottles onto trucks and unloads materials/bottles from trucks. Sorts materials/bottles to be stored as necessary. Enters receipts into SAP. Identifies storage space for materials/bottles. Provides feedback to alter and update specifications. Plans material deliveries and orders. Utilize SAP Warehouse Management system for closures and bottles to stock and to each bottling line. Reconcile closures and bottles in Warehouse Management system. Direct truck deliveries to correct dock for unloading. Enter bottle BOLs into SAP for Warehouse Management. Contact trucking line for late deliveries as needed.
Minimum Requirements : Must possess a Class A CDL Driver’s License. Knowledge of SAP, including Warehouse Management System. Must be able to use handheld scanner, along with tablet on forklifts. Experience with inventory management. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good computer skills. Ability to lift, carry, or move moderately heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) Ability to make some visual discriminations at close range. Some ability to discriminate between different colors. Requires good driving skills. Ability to read production schedule. Ability to complete inventory forms. Ability to reconcile inventory. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid forklift license. Candidates must be willing to learn and capable of conforming to hygiene and sanitation requirements as described in the Brown-Forman Housekeeping and Sanitation Manual. Must be able to work any shift, weekends, or holidays as required.
