Brown-Forman Human Resources Business Partner Sales in Mexico City, Mexico
The Sales HRBP in México City supports the Sales & Marketing HR Manager in identifying the current and future Human Resources needs within the Sales organization of Mex City and surrounding areas: Estado de México, Puebla, Toluca and Querétaro.
He/she acts as a single point of contact for employees and line managers for the Sales organization in those cities and represents the HR function at the Mexico City office. As such, his/her influence and leadership are key in the construction of a respectful, engaging and accountable working culture in the México City office (our second largest working center), championing adherence to B-F values and local legal framework.
The incumbent is a key HR business partner and a sounding board to the Sales Managers within his/her region. He/she is a member of the Mex City office Leadership Team.
The position participates in the design and adaptation of HR strategies in the larger Sales Function and leads its delivery and execution across his/her geographical area under control.
Manages the work life cycle of employees within his/her region. Coordinates the yearly execution of global Human Resources activity within his/her teams, such as: the Performance and Growth Planning (PGP) cycle, Talent Management and Succession Planning, Engagement and Enabling Survey, etc.
Supports the Sales & Marketing HR Manager in the formulation and execution of Sales organization development plans that may include defining what kind of future profiles/skills the teams will need as well as the design of plans that will help reach that state.
Watches that the Sales teams in the region are fully staffed and with the best possible talent by leveraging the support of Talent Acquisition, monitoring and facilitating all needed recruitment processes.
Ensures a thorough, complete and agile incorporation of new employees. Coordinates all the necessary activities (involving other areas if necessary), from the signing of hiring documents and handling of work tools, to the on-boarding program in coordination with the contracting manager.
Plays a key role in the formation of effective teams, applying techniques to incorporate new leaders, whether they are new hires or existing employees who assume new leadership roles. Permanently monitors the integration progress and work environment within the teams under his/her responsibility, with particular attention to the Mexico City office group.
Contributes to the best possible performance of the Sales teams under his/her control through a close monitoring of Performance Management and advises his/her Sales leaders on the best course of action. Provides support to managers in the development of Performance Improvement Plans (PIP), coordinates the application and monitors their progress.
Provides insights and contributes to the planning and design of sales incentives schemes that effectively award the performance of our field sales teams. Once approved by Compensations, S&M HR Manager and other key stakeholders, champions the communication and deployment of such schemes across the sales teams under his/her control
In coordination with his/her manager, ensures compliance to BF values by conducting internal investigations, whether they are the product of direct observation or reports received
Represents the HR function at the Mexico City Office and is the first point of contact for all matters that require the involvement of HR.
He/she is part of the Mex City office leadership team and plays a particularly important role in the cultural evolution of the group and the effective integration of existing and new members. He/she is a sound advisor to the Senior leaders in that group on how to continuously build a great place to work for all as well as the construction of strong working relationships with groups in Guadalajara and in Corporate.
As a member of the Mexico HR community, he/he actively collaborates in local initiatives, such as: Diversity and Inclusion activities, Great Place to Work certification, employee integration activities, etc.
If required, the role can also support the S&M HR Manager with workload from other offices and/or functions.
- Bachelor degree or a minimum of 4 years of comparable experience. Preferably in Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or related areas
5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably as a Generalist.
At least 3 years of experience working with Sales teams
Experience in companies with complex matrix organizations
Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.
Self-motivated. Ability to proactively handle work flow and problems
Maturity of judgment essential in connection with advisory skills and conflict management
Ability to think and act taking into consideration a wide perspective of possible solutions and scenarios
Excellent collaboration, relationship building, and influencing skills
High degree of personal credibility stemming from the person’s ability to be objective, confidential, exercise integrity and sound judgment.
