Brown-Forman Mexico is looking for its next Brand Ambassador to lead the charge in this region. We are looking for someone with a passion for Whiskeys and the drinks industry as a whole to help grow our brands into the biggest spirits in the business.

This position has the objective to build and nurture long-lasting relationships with on-premise accounts in order to engage accounts and consumers with our brands, by communicating, training and developing our portfolio within the channel gaining prominence and relevance.

Key Responsibilities and success factors:

To Add Value: Dedicated brands resource to ensure maximum interaction of brand and brand message with Mexican consumers and on-premise.

Organizational skills: The ability to create and organize various ways of working structures and to manage and update these on a week-to-week basis.

To Drive Brand Focus: Taking strategic direction from the Marketing Sr. Manager Whiskeys and liaising with National On-Premise and Entertainment Manager support and feed into advocacy plans.

Deliver Advocacy plans and campaigns in key cities (CDMX, GDL & MTY): Define and target key outlets in order to develop the advocacy plan.

To Create a relevant brand experience: Plan/execute and/or supervise brand-consumer events. Review program goals and provide evaluation for key brand initiatives.

To Build on existing, and New Relationships: Champions the on-premise and event efforts by building lasting relationships with targeted accounts. Be aware of the implications of various organizational actions and initiatives on the channel/customer. Communicates trends and market opportunities.

To Be Brand Expert and key partner for Brown-Forman: Provides trade, media and influencer education. Source for category consumer/channel/competitive insights – feeds local

market intelligence up through the organization.

To Be a spokesperson: Ability to act as spokesperson/educator at consumer events. Represent the brand in a manner consistent with the brand-building model.

Motivated by adding value: The ability to operate with a high level of energy on outcomes. Demonstrated enthusiasm for the organization through commitments and actions.

To Be Socially Responsible in all we do and represent the Company in said way: Represents home place in Casa Herradura and serves as host in scheduled visits to the brand’s home place.

To Lead the Way: Collaborates with the local Brand team to develop innovative programs and ideas. New Cocktail creation for drinks strategy. Bartend at Brown-Forman events. Project work to be set out by the brand team.

Business Acumen: Demonstrates good business sense, including the ability to make effective and efficient use of financial resources to achieve intended objectives.

Excellent Communications: Proven ability to communicate information and ideas to others in an understandable manner. The ability to comprehend and understand new information.

Accountability: The ability to set challenging goals and achieve results in line with and exceeding agreed-upon organizational objectives.

We Are Looking For People Who :

  • Education: College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Marketing, Public Relations, Communications.

  • Experience: 5+ years of significant on-premise experience behind the bar and/or brand ambassador.

Job Competencies:

  • Experience working with teams towards achieving common goals.

  • Creative and inspiring approach to be able to delight the audience.

  • An existing network within the Mexican on-premise is preferred.

  • Able to demonstrate excellent relationship-building and influencing skills across functions.

  • Business Acumen
