Brown-Forman Commercial Analyst - Italy in Milan, Italy
This role is to provide support to Country Manager and heads of Marketing and Trade Marketing in Brown Forman Italy by preparing analysis and insights to enable business leaders to take well informed decisions.
The key focus areas are:
commercial aspects including price, promotion, channel, customer and sku mix analysis
shopper and consumer insights
The incumbent will also ensure timely and accurate data and information flow between distributor and Brown Forman as well as will create insights using data base of Montenegro.
The role is expected to contribute to forward integration between B-F and Montenegro.
1. Reporting and systems: developing and continuously updating reporting system including daily, monthly and quarterly reports using Brown Forman tools as well as using Montenegro data base
2. Business advisory and partnership: a) Commercial analysis:
market shares, market coverage and other distribution metrics
analyse BF brands performance based on in-depth data analysis: promotion depth, length, cycles, range of assortment, promotional efficiency
develop the BF brand based category story
help drive internal brand retail strategy by recognizing commercial opportunities highlighted through data
manage retail based data such as Nielsen, IRI to help ensure Brown–Forman’s investment in data is maximized and provide proper argumentation and inputs to discussions with Montenegro
a) Shopper and consumer analysis:
help define channel strategies for brands and SKU’s based on category and shopper understanding
Identification and scanning of consumer and shopper insights based on available sources
Track market trends of spirits categories, Brown-Forman brands and our competition
Identifies threats and opportunities for our brands based on market data analysis
Help identify key consumer trends in spirits industry in Italy
3. Pricing (Revenue Growth Management)
analyze B-F price structures and competitive retail shelf pricing to ensure compliance with brand and channel pricing strategies,
look for opportunities to improve profitability of B-F brands through pricing
4. Strategic projects: participating in strategic project and provide analysis and insights – RTC and modus operandi for Scotch and Italy 2025 preparation
Higher Education – ideally in Business Management, Finance
At least 4 years’ experience of working with research tools & data analysis
Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently based on logical assumptions and factual information.
Experience with computer applications in accounting, budgeting and valuation techniques (in particular advanced PC skills incl. Excel and Power Point)
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects to completion by agreed deadlines.
Familiar in working with foreign currencies, exchange rates, and conversion factors.
Fluency in Italian language – many stakeholders and partners to cooperate with speak only Italian
Fluency in English language
Experience with BW
Experience of managing major projects to completion
Experience in working with Nielsen, IRI, IWSR or similar source of data
Strong Business and Trade environment acumen
Operational Decision Making
Team working skills
Strong work organizing skills
MS Office applications
Ability to perform and adapt in a changing environment
